Haven’t watched the video yet but I skimmed through the list and was pleasantly surprised by the results! So many people would list species that just aren’t suitable for a 10 gallon tank due to their size and/or activity level, but this list seems to be pretty decent for the most part 👍

Curiosity questions. 1. Which ones can be kept together in a tank? Like if I have Neon Tetras qm I am to have anything else in the tank? 2. I am hoping to get back into it, but my apartment complex only allows for a 10 gallon tank. The last time I was part of it, I had a 50 gallon. So, I am trying to figure out what will work with what. How many fish of different types I can keep in the same tank, the right tank cleaners/algae eaters to have with them, stuff like that. Because I want to have a community tank, but maybe have a fish that can be the showpiece of it. But I want to know what works with what...because I am basically relearning everything. I also have to keep it budget friendly. I say this because I am not sure if I have 6 of one or 3 of another if I can have all of that in a 10 gallon tank. Because I know that I shouldn't just have all top feeders, or bottom feeders. It takes a mix. I was thinking of about a Kuhli Loach, and then maybe some Tetras and Chilli Rasboras, with a couple of snails or ghost shrimp or maybe both to keep the tank clean so I don't have to change the water out so often. I won't be getting any of this for awhile yet. But want to plan for it. So any help I can get I would appreciate. Thank you.

Oh oh oh! I can help with this :D For a 10 gallon, I’d recommend a group of around 9 chili rasboras and 6 pygmy corydoras I’d also like to recommend neon tetras and a honey gourami, but I personally would prefer seeing neons in at least a 20 gallon You can also add in some invertebrates like cherry shrimp or a couple nerite snails, if the water parameters are suitable Edit: Also you’ll still need to change the water, even with bottom feeders. They’ll eat excess food but the food doesn’t just disappear, it comes out as waste. Having live plants will help to filter out the water by using fish waste as fertilizer, so you won’t have to work as hard to keep the tank clean. It also helps to stick with tiny fish, like the aforementioned chili rasboras, and shrimp since they produce very little waste
