Nice job. We used to use gel stain to do faux grain on slick cabinets. It goes on thicker and dries faster. There are hand tools you can roll/drag across to crest even more realistic wood look with knots and grain runout.

Dude I'm definitely gonna use your method on the inside trim of my car, from factory it is sprayed silver and it I a bit lame, but that woodification method is a really good idea thanks Guy, you are a genius.

tip for next time, try to tap against the dent from the inside, this one is pretty accessible, or pul it out as much if you can if you have the tools before bondoing it. also try to wetsand as much as you can instead of dry on laquer. its nice to see your vids tho, reminds me of myself in my younger days. support your doing very nice and creative work

How long between when you spray paint to when you pull the tape. I always get cracking around the edge of my paint

I pull the tape like 20-30 minutes after I spray the paint. If the paint is semi dry to the touch but still tacky, I pull the tape off.
