The WORLDS women of this generation have ALL experienced abuse of some sort or other. There was NEVER any RESPECT. And fra kly in most cultures THERE STILL ISNT ANY. We ALL fought FOR WHAT we had LEARNT to BELIEVE IN OURSELVES regardless, our capabilities and our independents. WHY? Because we had been RAISED TO BE INDEPENDENT!

This story is probably why we all adore Goldie, at the heart of it. You are drawn to her because you can tell at some level she could walk away from it all, and be totally happy. She's integrity and intelligence, wrapped in playful, no shits given packaging. I've loved her since Laugh-In, and so moved to hear her story in her own words. Thanks for letting her voice it, and for the upload. 💗✨

I read her autobiography Lotus Flower almost twenty years ago. She has done a lot of mental and spiritual work in her life time to find her own peace, so her clarity and calm in this storytelling is not really surprising to me. I understand, though, how shocking it is to hear so much trauma being discussed in such a steady, calm way.

I don't doubt a single word Goldie speaks here. She was probably inundated with salaciousness and duplicity for 2 decades because of how beautiful and portrayed as a blonde airhead she was. Talent doesn't need to take the easy way onto the stage. I can't even picture this Lady on the casting couch... She's a treasure because of who she is. Edit this out: Please, no more face work.

Big fan of Goldie Hawn, and the fact that she became her own producer, worked for herself, answered to no one, that is how she made it on her own, in her own way, no casting couch with some greasy man that controls what you want and will use you. I say way to go Goldie, you made it big and you did it with ethics and integrity. Also raised two wonderful children, and made a great decision when choosing Kurt to be the one man to trust. And the rest is history.

It had everything , humor, romance, suspence and no one could have played the part better than Goldie.
