The 2010 Le Mans Race is only matched by the time Porsche won on the last lap against Toyota, in my opinion. I think everyone watched that race knowing it was a matter of time for the next Peugeot to fall. It was so sad to see even the Team Oreca Matmut have the same fate as the others. Great job from Audi surviving through everything that year. I think you should talk about the first generation of R18s and the last non hybrid win at Le Mans, when Audi won after McNish and Rockenfeller’s crashes.

Audi knew after Quali they could break Peugoet. As you could See the Audis started the race doing 3:22, so the Peugoets ran faster. By the sunday morning Audi ran 3:19 and Peugoet ran into 3:18. So they Peugoets started failing. Remember when Audi said before they race they found something? That was it.

I think it is important to mention that the Audi R15 victory in Le Mans 2010 was done with the still existing distance record of 397 laps or 5410,713 km. Furthermore the racing strategy 2010 of Peugeot was not very clever. Peugeot wanted to humiliate Audi from the first lap on. They knew their 908 was faster than the R15 and they even got the advantage of a safety car period and yet they were pushing their cars to the limits. We all know what happend. Dr. Ullrich of Audi told his 9 drivers go as fast as possible just keep the cars on the track but push push... our cars will survive. So they did, 397, 396 and 394 laps, a "journey" from 200 km South of Cairo all the way down to Daressalam in Tansania or from Vancouver down to Miami in Florida... in 24 hours. The 4th fastest car was not less than 28 laps behind.

I remember Sarrazin saying in the middle of the night before his stint "I need to push". He had an one lap lead.

Thank you I appreciate it! I do plan on doing more videos like it (improved of course lol) soon, I have one in the works now and several more planned out, all of the ones that I am going to make are going to be about sportscars exclusively because I believe Formula One history and IndyCar history are pretty well covered but sports cars seems to be a little bit abused in the corner and I have been a massive sportscar fan since I was 7 so the pieces fit well together

@@KevinRollins32 that sounds like a good idea. Pretty I've already watched the collective knowledge of Formula 1 on KZbin lol. It's difficult these days since everything has been talked about so much. Lately I've been looking into classic DTM and some Australian racing series. Man there is a lot of cool Motorsports down under. Trying to get original content out has to be hard. I followed you so I'll definitely check out your future stuff 👍

Really enjoyed the video. The script was good with a clear timeline and key events named. This kind of history has only recently peaked my interest so it’s worth continuing picking out the best and most legendary race cars to focus on. The narration could be a bit more polished, but I understand you had a lot to say and didn’t want the video to be an extra 5 minutes. That is my only construction criticism. Well done sir
@KevinRollins322 жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate it! The narration was the biggest fault admittedly, it is my first time doing a voiceover story time video and I learned so much in the process and am working on video 2 now and it will be much more polished but I do appreciate it much thanks for viewing!

Dude your level of knowledge is fantastic. The only reason I can possibly cite for you having criminally so few views would possibly be due to how the content herein is too in-depth for some

Thanks!, part of it is I’m still a small Channel give it some time and a few more videos and I think things will change, but in truth I’m not doing this for the number of views but I guess I’m just getting it out there to tell some of the stories of the cars I watch growing up and maybe make a few new fans of sportscar racing

i like the video and know how much work you must have put into it, but you completely leave out the conceptual differences which made the fights always interesting and how hard and reckless the fights were. You talk for 20 minutes and leave out some of the basics and major circumstances of the era of racing regarding the r15s and the wec era. I also don't agree on the remarks you made on the WEC era reducing the reliability on the last lemans entrance of audi which was partially due to parts that are not solely designed by audi (the numberplate lighting and so on). I really liked the footage and amount of work that went into the research since i know how far you have to dig to find out about this as a die hard fan. anyway, be proud of your work and don't put excuses behind it. its a good video!

Very interesting, and well edited video! I have a couple of tips about audio quality, though: I'd cut out all the little tongue clicks, and breathe-ins. I'd also record in a quieter room (no fans or anything like that). And finally, I'd lower the input gain a little bit (never surpass 0dB!) , and make sure that all the recordings are done at the same level. There are a few inconsistencies during the video. Liked the video a lot, nonetheless!

It was a Genius car. It was probably the racecar with the highest total downforce numbers period. It has one of the most powerful Internal combustion engines ever run in racing. >750hp in racing map, >800hp in party mode, >1500Nm. Sadly its underbody aero was to sensitive for Le Mans. Just for comparison, the rear of this car alone had more downforce then any F1 car ever until 2017, that had ran up to this point. With a year more for this car to be developed....
