Yes, the multiple monitor path is the way, I had to use one monitor for a job and kept trying to move programs to the other monitor out of sheer habit, my disappointment was immeasurable. Also, a lot nicer to just turn your head slightly, instead of messing around with multiple programs on one screen.

Seeing part of your training regime you seem mostly doing strongman training, which I think fits your bodytype greatly! One advise is to mix in a little yoga and pilates for flexibility since farming takes a great toll on ligament and joints. You look to be in good form, people tend to forget that we often see you bundled up in jackets and coats which makes everyone looks heavyset. Happy holidays from us!

As someone who grew up working a commercialized, family farm/ranch, I commend you. You left an urban, high paying job, which, while intellectually challenging, has NOTHING on the requirements of farm labor, and you are sticking to it. I predict that you will indeed make it. Your online journey shows indisputably that you understand that rewards are measured in more than money. Keep working on life balance and trust that a life lived in the pursuit of a noble goal is a life of purpose - which studies have shown is a key indicator of longevity :).

Concerning the plastic that was wrapped around the hay bales, we cut that into strips and crochet or weave them into rugs. We cut them pretty quickly with rotary cutters. We use a huge hook so the rug is thick and tall. We have them in front of the sink because it makes your legs feel better because it is like a thick cushion. It's also great, especially in the wet seasons, because you can make a mess and then just take it outside and rinse it off. The cats and dogs like to lay on them also. We also crochet them into grocery shopping tote bags. They are really handy to carry milk, ice cream, cheese, etc., and other wet/sweating items, plus it eliminates waste. If you do not know anyone who uses it, such as Amish, you can call the local county extension office and they probably have name referrals for 4H or crochet circles. When we run out, we have to go buy used bags from Walmart, so you would be doing someone local a favor.

Hey Morgan I love watching the drone going around showing all the things that you've actually added to the farm...it is a very well laid out piece of property...well done you... Merry Christmas to you, Jen, Toby dog and the adorable barn cats 🎄🎄🎄💟

What the hell am I doing this for? One of my favouite pictures of Morgan and the Gold Shaw Farm is that silouette of Morgan sitting on that rock outlet by the pond, at the end of the day in summer two seasons ago, shortly after getting the pond into shape. I never have to resort to flipping back to see it, so vivid is it in my memory. So you see, Morgan, how people bond, be it thousands of kilometers apart. Apple and pork and cabbage and onions and spätzle......all good stuff.

This was really interesting and really helpful. But damn you work hard! I won’t be working anywhere near as hard once I get my property, but this shows me that it can be done without being out there constantly. I have a chronic illness and will need to rest at least a few hours a day. But I can see that as long as I plan things well and make sure I don’t have more animals than I can handle (or need), the majority of the work fits into morning chores and evening chores, with the odd extra check or tlc for a sick animal and sometimes a building project. I also don’t need mine to be a business, I’ll just be raising my food. If you can manage it with working 8 hours a day, I can manage it without working. So, thanks! I needed that! Merry Christmas to you both 🎄😊

About training birds you are 100% right. People told me it would be impossible to make our guineas (pest control) sleep inside a bird house. They tried to sleep outside one night after they were released for the first time but since I trained them to come for scratch they came off the tree and into the house. Patience is key.

Are you planning to "scoop the poop" in the cow pen area so it's more sanitary, as well as provide more consistent dry material in the hoop house?

some fitness tips for you: when rowing dont hunge, try to keep a straight back and when pulling at the farthest point lean a bit back, also dont lock your knees completly out ( keep a small bend). The last exercise you showed is for the rotator cuff, there you need to keep your elbow tucked to your side, try to keep a focus on each muscle you are targeting with that exercise. for example Rotator cuff is on your upper back. The form of the other exercises looked good! Thank you for your content

Morgan, I've seen some others place some of the hard wire in the bottom of those feeders to help prevent waste underneath. Not sure if that will work for your situation or not. Merry Christmas and have a Happy, Safe, and Profitable New Year to you and your family. Happy,

Have just recently found your channel and love watching someone doing what I would secretly love to do, but am no way going to do at least in the near future. Love the way you love all your animals and take such good care of them.

You know Morgan I'm curious how is Allison's relationship with Toby Dog ? Only because I'm aware she is really busy with her work. I work in the medical field too. And I know the farm thing seems to be more yours. Or shall I say the KZbin thing is more yours. I know she works her gardens and such. But is she & Toby as close as you two are ? Does she feel protected when you are away on business? Just curious of course you don't have to answer. It's all good. By the way I've been watching for a couple of years now.
