Golf Cart Batteries and Watering System Install

I have a Trojan Hydrolink watering system in my golf cart which i added over 3 years ago at a cost of $200!!! This week my battery meter started going down to the red zone on steep hills .I check and water my batteries every week so I know im never short of water in any battery. I finally resorted to pulling the battery cell covers for each batter to visualize the level of water in each and found 3 cells which had inadequate water levels even though the outside battery water indicator was BLACK meaning the water level was proper. My Hydrolink system has a 4 year warranty but i expect to have trouble presenting a claim.

I don't like the Trojan hydro link. Adding a watering system is not inexpensive, but well worth the investment.

Yes, it’s totally worth it!! I know it’s expensive but it’s a huge time saver and it’s super easy to see if the batteries need water

dude, use a strap to pull the batteries out, disconnect the negative first , turn the toggle switch to tow,

I have a 48 volt cart and they are 8 volt battery’s. How would I make the needed for 12 bolts for lights, stereo etc? Don’t want to fry anything!!

Use 2 cable ties and make a handle to get the batteries out mate, save all the struggling to get them out of the frame

Watering systems are worthless. The lines can clog with dirt and stop watering certain cells. Best way might take longer, but inspect and water each cell at a time.

Interesting point, but this system also has the float marker to let you know the possible level of each cell. Seems like this would work as a backup check if the line were to clog?

With clear lines, seems easy to see if you have a clog. And not hard to remove clogs since the tubes are short and just pull off.
