The fan motor on the unit heater sounds a little dry, there should be a couple oiling ports on the top to giver a little gurgle of light machine oil. Sounds like the Felon has been doing good work in your good stuff!

Eh Pug I have a 18’ Sierra. I noticed the same thing when starting. I just barely turn the key and it fires right up. I think if you hold it to crank longer it’s hard on the starter. PLUS I had to replace the starter on mine at like 60,000km the truck was dead in the water in my driveway. There were some hiccups before it finally went. The stealership admitted it’s a thing with these fine trucks.
