Yet another golden nugget. Thanks Simon. I found one of the best golf aides, curtesy of Simon, was the two dots of my glove, holding the club more in my fingers and the grip and arm pressure. He’s brilliant. Thanks Liam and Simon. More of the same please.

Thank you Simon for a free lesson. No one explained this to me before, so it is invaluable information. Wish I'd known this 40 years ago. Liam, top guy again.⛳

Great video Simon, when adjusting the tee height I have always moved the ball position as always thought a hight tee height needed to be more forward. I clearly thought wrong. I can wait to take this to the range. Thank you again for another great video.

Excellent Simon, great tee height explanation, will try this at the weekend as i generally hit it high and miss tight fairways at our course a lot of the time.
@davechavezjr539922 күн бұрын
Great tips for hitting off the tee and for trying to hit under certain conditions! I usually don’t have any difficulty hitting off the tee and don’t have to worry about wind or fairway width. I use a plastic/rubber tee that gives me the same tee height every time so I don’t have to change my swing.
@guyr735127 күн бұрын
Thanks Simon, I’ve practiced this and put into practice at the weekend, and it worked! 3 holes which is a card wrecking section on our course two long par 5’s and a short par 4 but with water and OOB. Typically driving into the wind, on Sunday outdrove all Laying partners S their balls ballooned up Into the wind.

Pure Gold..... There is one hole on my home course where I tend to hit OB to the right, or else drive into trees on the left.. This is a narrow tee shot with trees right and left for the first 150 yards, ( and Yes, this hole fries my head) Even if I have been hitting fairways prior to this, I usually make a mess of this hole, maybe because I still try to hit off a high tee.... Will deffo try the lower tee height with the set up as Simon described..... ( if it does not work I will be no worse off, and if it works, as I expect it to, then I will only be playing 1 off the tee.) Keep up the tips....

Simple tip and only tee it high providing you don't sway forward executing the downswing-pop it up.Tee it low if yoy sway forward you will hit with closed face and top it,so stay in posture.

I’ve always heard; Tee it high and let it fly( down wind) And when it’s breezy swing nice and easy!!( into wind)

Does that high low spin bomb not make more sense than a hit down spinny squirter that clearly went right and short into the wind ?

I notice Simon that your hands raise just before you swing. Almost like a single plane swing.

Do you expect a different shape from each and therefore aim differently? And why is the low one is more likely to find a narrow fairway?

This is all well and good but, I “ and a lot of others” have trouble with the ( high) tee ,because we’ll swing and end up hitting the ground in back of the ball,or going underneath ending up with the dreaded pop up. ( IE the ball goes farther up,then forwards)

Errr for most,,, trying to have several different driver swings just ain't gonna happen your either a upper (orange,pink) or a scimmer (white yellow) the info here good golfers know and can do anyway, driver hard enough without tweaking things. For record I'm a scimmer same shot driver as three wood fairway wood.😮 So wind behind naturally helps anyway.
