I like how Simon takes the tour aspect out of it, keeps it simple, and he's incredibly polite and encouraging. Seems like an absolute top coach.

This is gold! Best £30 quid lesson I ever payed for was ignoring what the ‘pros’ do and concentrate on what I can do! Looking like Rory is great but if can’t hit it for toffee makes no difference Looking like ‘me’ and hitting it 50x better makes a world of difference 👌🏻

I've watched probably 100 videos on golf tips. This video is by far the best one I've seen, for me a high handicaper trying to just find a repeatable golf swing that I'm confident/comfortable with on the course.

Never knew, despite all my efforts (and watching so many You Tube and other videos) how to play a draw. Simon made it look so easy and explained it so well that I can't wait to get to the range now and try it out while it's still fresh in my head. What a gentleman also. Super instruction video and so easy to follow. Well done.

The granularity in this video makes absolute sense, which can be digested into a simple drill, no short cuts. The best videos nowadays tend to come from teachers who rarely have to hit the ball during the lesson.

Could not agree more with the other comments praising Simon's simple lessons for amateurs. Excited to add this test and drill to my training. The grip and arm pressure revelation from a few weeks ago have helped my game. Always struggled with 4i and 5i, now I'm hitting them 165 to 185 yards. Giving me more options and confidence on course. Generally just making game so much more fun!

I saw Simon’s video in forearm pressure about 20 mins before I tee’d off a couple weeks back. I’ve never hit a drive so pure on the first tee in all my life!! I suffer really badly with anxiety, so finding my “3” really helps distract the brain from everything else. After seeing this, I’ll definitely be trying the 9 Ball test and possibly sending Simon a video to see what help he can offer. Great work guys, as always 👏👍

Simon should have his own channel! Only downside is that he's able to make it so simple he'll be done after 5 lessons :-) I watched this video today, went to the driving range and after 30 balls for the first time in my life was able to produce a draw and fade on command. The baby fade being allmost straight being a natural drawer of the ball. Absolutely brilliant. And the chemistry works too, Liam being the perfect amateur we can all relate to, asking the same questions we would.

Liam, this was a fantastic video. Love how Simon teaches and takes the Tour Pros out of the equation. Love the Tiger window drill to find your natural swing, once found, work on perfecting it, and play that most of the time. Nothing wrong with being a fader or drawer of the ball. The important thing is to know your shot shape and play it. Looking forward to the driver lesson. Cheers.

@@GolfMates FYI I’ve made a family project out of filming my golf journey this summer. My 16 year old filmed and is editing, and I played some with my 11 and 13 year olds. Will be editing it into a series and releasing it after Christmas. Liam and OMP are now gonna get big shoutouts in the last 2 episodes we are filming next week. Will be sure to reach out and share when the series drops. Let’s ask the universe to get you lads over here to New Scotland (Nova Scotia) at some point. Love what you lads are doing. Senior inconsistent golfer here. This video brought clarity to a jungle of contradictory teaching on KZbin. I identified with a draw by following this lesson but never understood exactly how to do it and why it works. When I tried the over the stick under the stick drill it felt more natural than anything I have ever done. So easy to swing this way with more power and bottom of swing control. It feels natural and simple. The only question I have is what angle the stick is set at for the drill? Does height and wrist to ground measurements affect the angle of the stick?

I absolutely do the 9 window drill, when I practice. It teaches you soooo much about path, face, ball position, how to add, and take away loft, etc. You’ll quickly figure out which shot is the easiest for you to hit. However, learning all of the shots is a very beneficial way for making tiny tweaks during a round. Example…. I generally play a medium flight pull/cut. It’s just the easiest, and most predictable shot for me. However, some days i may get an occasional low straight pull, that goes too low. This tells me that my club face is the issue. A very slight grip change, with the same swing, will get me back to where I need to be.
@gregschulte2953 Жыл бұрын
so good, it's ridiculous to watch videos of Rory or Rham where there's 100-200 people in the world how can duplicate what they're doing - without the success. I golf with folks that have so many swing thoughts that they are paralyzed and golf isn't fun. This is something anyone can practice and have some success. Outstanding teacher.

20:40 the club shaft is still a little under the plane on the backswing and a little over on the through swing. I’m guessing it was a lot better than it was before and that the steepish plane and closing club face creates the high draw. Great channel Liam! Lots of interesting, fun content. You’ve made yourself a great job! Well done! If you want to come down to France to play, let me know…
