I have been enjoying my 2.1 for several years and decided to upgrade to the DF3. Went to my local Club Champion for the fitting that went well but now 9 weeks after the order was placed and still no putter!! Very disappointed in the lack of customer service from L.A.B. - zero. Apparently the recommended upgraded shaft is listed under unobtainium on the periodic table.

Shoot! I'm sure it'll be there soon. What difference did you notice between the 2.1 and DF3?

Dang came across this video and was excited for the content. Could not get over the fact that you didn’t even try to make any putts (or maybe you did and this video proves it’s not the wand)

HAHA. I guess I should have focused on that more based on comments here. Was just hitting putts and trying to describe the difference in how they were feeling.

I tried a Mezz 1 Max (left hand) off the shelf in a golf store a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Did some research, but I'm wondering if the fitting process providing the homemade video and then the subsequent wait time are worth it for a 15+ handicapper? Would there be a real difference? I was making every putt in the store.

You could do the online fitting and see how close the specs of the standard one is to what they tell you would be best.

I think the heavier head alone is worth it. I just got a heavier Mezz Max at 37" and I really like it on medium greens. Store putting surface is usually pretty quick.

How many strokes gained putting would warrant spending $350-$600? Three years ago my Tommy Arm🎉our was First overall at $149. With the Dick's sales price and a discount coupon my price new was $99. My putts saved was 3 strokes a round on average. Three putting became ALMOST non-existent.

Show me some stats. This is all anecdotal just like most golf marketing. Show me some legit tour player stats before the LAB and after the LAB showing improvement. Im still gaming a 1992 Ping Anser. I’ve yet to test anything against it that makes me a better putter.

I'd say that if pga players like adam scott choose to use lab putters while not being paid at all, its a pretty good indicative that they work

My first round with the df3 I had 23 putts, 13 one putts. I average 34.8. It’s just so easy to hit my line and roll it end over end. So all I have to worry about it speed now. Not subconsciously trying to avoid a pull or push at the same time. I had the link before but just didn’t fit my eye and stroke but the df3 definitely does.
@aemk61295 ай бұрын
If you’ve not tried it yet and don’t feel the need, then don’t. It’s not made for everybody, but without trying it, you’ll never know. Simple. If it works for you, buy it. If not… The L.A.B. Link 1 has been great in MY bag, I assume the DF3 and/or Mezz may offer a bit more tech that could result in fewer putts and lower scores. I haven’t tried yet, but certainly wouldn’t assume it’s a gimmick without trying.

I think what’s really happening here is people are getting “fitted” instead of buying right off the shelf. The putter is great, but I produce the same results with an Odessey One. But, the LAB is perfect for an amateur player trying to force a putt.

The view over the putter with a broom, coupled with what I can only explain as a bowling/rolling arm swing to measure speed is so simple. Yes, there is a learning curve, but once you get over the stigma bull it produces so many on my line roll outs it’s amazing. Put a line on a ball and compare to your standard putter, no chance you get it rolling end over end like a Lab! This will be like snowboarding in time, if you were around in the 90’s and skied you get the reference.

The only lab putter i like. Is the df ...the others look cool but dont equal the df in feel and balance. Imo. . . The original df is my next used putter. I may never sell my newport gss..... so solid. No putter has ever felt so smooth to me as the df. Itll take settling into. So will any other putter.

I enjoy your content very much. however, your challenge in describing the putters did not provide a lot of information. 1. feel many times is best when you're not ;looking' at the thing you are trying to 'feel' so maybe close your eyes and try them 2. !putting to a target/hole as opposed to maybe putting to the edge of the green provides no 'consequence' and won't alter our opinion. thanks for reading

I've also had a putter I liked that had the same pingy sound, that was hard to take (Odyssey R-Ball). But I currently have the DF3 counterbalanced with the TPT shaft in my bag, and the sound is *really* solid.

$450 is pricey, and then to "customize" it the price jumps like another $100 and that might be just a lie adjustment.

If you seriously believe that a £500 putter will sink more putts than the one you already own you are fooling yourself. Practice for 30 min before the round, not the usual 5 mins. you see on every practice green. Putting will improve beyond all measure and you will save a lot of money. That right to left breaker really had him fooled😂. In all serious though “try a few shafts have some fun”.. u mean burning the cost of the putter again in a shaft which is negligible? Hah. Tbh lab is probably great but it’s never going to make anyone a great putter. It’s just one more piece of tech to chase which still won’t alter your form/green reading/pace control. If you still suck at putting after doing those previous two things… sure lab might make you feel better but that’s a temporary placebo with any new putter purchase. I’ve been there have the 15 putters in the garage… lab will give you that extra 1% no doubt but that requires good fundamentals otherwise you will continue to miss left/right/short/long
