You done well 👍 I remember loosing all my confidence once I got to those slippy rocks when you first enter the woods 😬

Thanks! They were sketchy sections - the bike just wants to do its own thing 😂 tried to embrace it where I could! I watched your vid and you rode it really well and tough conditions 👍

That trail looks epic! The rocks do look like they could be slippy death traps when wet though. Another great video Laura.👌🤙😁

yeah there are just so many of them and they appear out of nowhere half the time hehe. Thanks!

Great video. Love the black graded technical climb at Golspie. It looks un-rideable but is surprisingly ok.
@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think this is the only place I enjoyed the climb as much as the descent! A technical climb makes it go much quicker as it’s not as boring 😃

Plenty of variation of trail types in one run. Epic edit as always.

Well worth the climb up by the looks of it-what a view :)

yeah even the climb was enjoyable because of the views and singletrack! Pretty cool place!

Nice video Laura , the downhill section of track in the trees never seems to dry properly(needs a good week of warm weather to be dry, its probably the hardest part of the track), you can avoid it by turning left after the fly-over head back down treeline and down to the fire road and head back up to the start of the red down hill trail.
@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Aw good to know - felt like as I was there for a one off I'd better get on with it and try ride it all (even though I skipped some of the options it seems!). If I'm back in future though one to bear in mind :)

@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB Geos run at Golspie is worth a look, not sure if you've done Balblair trails and Carbisdale Castle near Bonar Bridge... They're worth a look too next time you're back. 👍

been in golspie before on motorbikes actually stayed in b+b there looks just as good for the mountainbikes good job on keeping wind noise out what did you folk use on camera?(thers another vlog right there lol)
@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB4 жыл бұрын
great place for that! Cheers - I actually put together a wee DIY cover while on holiday as the wind noise was irritating me at Fort William. Just a bit of soft material with some sticky tape and it works a treat! I actually watched some other people's vlogs on how to do it lol

@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB You're not wrong. You've got the best of it north of the border, though. Always a pleasure to explore that side of the wall, and Golspie looks a blast.

This looks like a pretty fun descent. I’m definitely going to give it a go when head back to Inverness next. How was the climb?
@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB4 жыл бұрын
Yeah there's a lot of variety on it. Some of it a bit pedally in places but could be made less so by me carrying more momentum hehe. The climb was surprisingly nice... not steep at all and not too technical apart from a few sections higher up which are tricky. You do think you're almost there at one point though but the climb heads around the back so a little bit of false hope! With the views etc, I found the climb was one of the most enjoyable I've done and I don't usually put enjoyable and climb in the same sentence! Hope you have fun on it when you head there :)
