My first mtb xc race was Golspie back in the 90s long before there were any official mtb trails. Straight up the front on a walkers track from the town to the monument, then down the back, round the side on an old washed out landrover track to join back up with the walkers track. 3 laps was a killer but such a fun race and typical of the Highlands mtb racing at that time. 75% of the field on rigid frame and forks and everyone enjoying every second.

We were for our first time in Scotland and only had the chance to ride in Glentress forest that weekend. Parking was full but there were not too much people on the red trail. Probably the only child under 10 was mine, and we could go down absolutley flat out as the track is quite grippy and the section with the drops are quite straight. We reallly enjoyed the descent there and we'd love to go back to Tweed Valley one day to try the well known enduro tracks. This trail you shown here make us thinking to add it to the list, but unfortunately it's too far for us.
