Goma At Home: Paksiw Na Bangus

Happy 2022 to all of you!
I’m sure we all ate a lot over the holiday season. So this Sunday, I will prepare something healthy, light and affordable.
For my version of Paksiw na Bangus, you will need the following ingredients
Bangus
Ginger
Vinegar
Garlic
Onion
Eggplant
Green Chili
Pepper
Salt

You put olive oil pra mas creamy Ang sabaw. So delicious! The secret of delicious paksiw is suka, bawang, luya, siling haba, asin, paminta at oil. At siempre, fresh fish meat. You put half cup water to neutralize the Asim of vinegar. Veggies as garnish. Any veggies as long as fave mo, pwede sa paksiw. If there's no sabaw anymore in paksiw, you can fried the fish en it is more delicious. It lasted three days without refrigeration because of asin en vinegar. It's like adobo can lasted days also outside ref. The best pot to cook paksiw is clay pot.

You're very thorough with your introduction and I appreciate that you mix it up- Pinoy or global recipes and you research each recipe and make the best version of it. I used to hate PAKSIW when I was younger, I was always taken aback by the sour smell and the fish but now that I’m an adult, I’ve learned to love it. It needs the perfect balance of water and vinegar and I add a bit of lemon at the end. So yummy! This looks so good! Bangus is my fave.

What i love about paksiw is that you can add various vegetables like okra, camote tops, etc we used to put vinegar 5minutes before it's totally cooked. And some oil, my favourite side dish of paksiw na bangus is bagoong. Yum!
