7 years later and that might have been the best GSL Finals I've ever seen.

Both Parting and Life are my favourite players. It's like a dream when I watch they both compete in a final match of the Year! I love the moment Life is crowned!

Man if I could travel back in time just ONCE id smack Life in the face so hard when he got approached by those match fixers and started thinking about doing it.... I swear id sort him out. Such a loss for the community, such a waste of talent. He was 18 at this time, he easily had another 5+ years of playing ahead of him. He could have become what FlaSh or BoxeR are for Sc1. Instead he threw it all for what ? Some 20-30k ? -.-

Now Zerg will never win anything especially in GSL.

@TheMrberrybanana Yes, I'm his fan now. Love his micro. Hopefully he'll win it all this year again.

Sc2 need a BIGGER PRIZE POOL! This game difficulty level is like dota+LOL+CS = Combined.

nefarious k no shit lol

But the game is less popular, which means less income from the fanbase. They need to get the money from somewhere, right?

nefarious k no lol no dota but SC2 is most difficult game I've ever played...

+Jimipedia The prize pools of Dota is one of the bad things about it. It was a huge jump in the matter of a few years, and it only caters to greed. Outside TI, 10-15k tournaments were the norm, and you could see your favorite teams every week. Nowadays the big teams skip even 150k-200k tournaments, and you are lucky to see the teams play on a monthly basis, but more likely every other month for a few days. In another notion, Select former SC2 player tried Dota, and had to quit, because it was too demanding, as it is a totally different type of game, where communication, synergy, and teamplay matter, that are not considered in SC2.

The game difficulty and the frustration with it is what turns people off from SC2. :/ Which means smaller fanbase then smaller views then smaller sponsors then less money.

Awesome play from both players. I'm a fan of Life but excellent play from PartinG as well.

I love how different these players are from usual players and builds. 7 games and only one with colossus?! No corruptors at all!? Epic, epic play from both players but I am so glad that my favorite player won! Life's hyper aggression is how i wish I could play. So inspiring!

What left me a great pity was s0s did not appear in this series! He also deserves to compete in the grand final of this year! He is an incredible player. Where are you now, s0s?

Their naming system is wonky and terrible. Match refers to the match-up between the two players. "Set" refers to the game number between the two players, i.e. Set 5 is the 5th game these two have played in this match-up. It's actually hard to explain but if you want to watch in order you need to watch Parting V Life Set 1-7
