One thing that this had a ton of action scenes, it was the original soundtrack with the mix of rock and country music which worked also.

I've been searching everywhere for the original Gone In 60 Seconds! Ever since finding a VHS version of the Junkman, I've wanted to see what the original sounded like, not the remastered. Thanks for uploading it!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH :D!!! I was looking for the original version with the original sound track.. What the heck the widow fuck with the sound track is beyond me. I was so mad when I purchase the dvd.. It a road car movie classic!! You don't fool around and change the sound track for some weird cheap techno music.. Thanks again I will enjoy listening to the original version!!!.

We should start a petition to release this on blu-ray with the original soundtrack.
@lowes48impala7 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. Though I wouldn't know who owns the rights to this movie, thus having no clue who would we be petitioning.

I don’t think it’ll be having a 4K treatment anytime soon probably due to a rights issue or some boutique labels like Criterion, Arrow Video, or Vinegar Syndrome has rights to it (idk if one of them actually do) and have it on their to-do list on the way bottom for 4K remastering. It’s also severely underrated and obscure due to its low budget it had when it was filmed. If they were to release a new 4K remastered version of it, I think it’ll look similar to the Blu-rays released previously but with more clarity in the thick cinematic grain and similar color grade in HDR10. Maybe the blacks that were darker in nighttime scenes or any scenes that call for black levels that looked dark will look more refined. Idk. I’m just assuming it’ll look good. For audio, I think it’ll have the same revisionist 5.1 track but either in a lossy DTS 5.1 or lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. I don’t think we’ll ever get an original mono mix as an option since it was stated somewhere (idk where) that when they released the DVD release of it to commemorate with the 2000 remake, it was distorted and had songs that they couldn’t put on because of a privacy or rights issue. Therefore, a new and different “remastered” 5.1 mix was created for it. It had modern or different sound effects in place of old ones and the country music present in the original mono mix was replaced with a techno-porno music that sort of didn’t suit well with the rest of the movie. It was like this on most DVD and regular Blu-ray releases without having the original mono mix as an option and most likely will be like this again on an upcoming 4K release if they ever do one. Most people (myself included) favor the original mono mix more than the revisionist 5.1 mix. You can disagree with me but there were movies that have already been out on 4K that had audio upgrades to Atmos. This type of problem mentioned earlier is similar but also different. They come with the original music which I tend to like but with replacement sound effects. WB has released Superman: The Movie on the 4K format wayback in 2018 and Batman and Batman Returns a year after but their Atmos tracks sounded a bit different than what were given to us previously. Like mentioned earlier, they do include the same music from many previous home video counterparts and in theaters if people were there but they replaced sound effects in place of original sound effects or overlay sound effects in chunks that aren’t present here but added anyway. I think they did this in a way to make it sound more spacious and detailed. Some people preferred this. Others don’t and want the same mixes experienced before but in an Atmos format to want them more spacious and have more cleaner original sound effects. Brands like Sony, Universal, Disney have released their catalogue titles since the 4K format started to make the previous mixes more cleaner and spacious in Atmos or DTS:X if preferable. WB has started the replacement sound effects trend since 2018 with their 4K releases mentioned earlier and I think they’ve started to listen to the fans or whoever didn’t like the idea of revising mixes to give people what they want.

+Lithuanian Matt So when were you going to upload The Junkman?
@71plymouth.8 жыл бұрын
scottthewaterwarrior tell you what. I have this KZbin playlist called: H.B.H independent films, and in the playlist there's a junkman video with OST soundtracks written in the title and I think its about 7+ minutes long and in the comment section a guy says the site is a little shady but the junkman was on that site a couple months ago cause I watched it.

As a Mopar guy. I love the 1st 7 minutes of the movie. The chop shop scene was true and authentic except they didnt take the radiator support. My mind would have been blown if they took the radiator support
