That’s the exact thought I had; like they got the general color sorta, but that’s an early 1970’s Chevelle SS, the original one from 1974 featured a 1971 Ford Mustang modified to represent a 1973, but when the movie was remade in 2000, the yellow 1973 Mustang was changed to a silver w/ black racing stripes 1967 Shelby GT500. _Gone in 60 Seconds 2_ was already made in 1989 (a 15 year gap instead of 25 year gap)
