Interesting coincidence that this was released just a few days after the verdict against Halicki came out. No more licensing fees. Builders (both hobbiests and professionals) are now free to express themselves through building Mustangs however they'd like-even if the build looks like an Eleanor. Definitely a win for car enthusiasts world round (and especially the Carol Shelby Trust, who just beat Halicki in court).

Shawn, the Eleanor movie cars were not actually 427 cars. They all had very basic 351 Windsor engines. They probably had more like 300 HP. My guess is that viewers would be very disappointed with an under hood reveal. It most likely is very plain and unrestored as there was no reason for the studio to fancy up an engine compartment that would never be seen.

Not the 25k tax fee. Maybe things got changed by time..and allowed a 25k fee...

She lives in the hills and didn't want to get a workout every time she turned the wheel, so Eleanor is set up to drive somewhat like an old Buick." There was a trial with CR and all the fuss that gone wrong with the car, i've followed the story some +10 years ago since it's the most beautiful car i've ever seen. I really wish you would leave the prices out of these. Let's make it about the cars

It’s always about the cars and sometimes we also add in $$ when it’s relevant. If you’ve watched, most of our video leave $$ out

The sad part is I sat at the rear of my dads 1974 Caprice Kingswood Estate Wagon (at 7 years old) in the Van Buren Drive-In - Riverside watching this movie and it was surreal to me. Having watched Le Mans and Bullitt only on TV as a kid around 5 or 6 Gone In 60 Seconds was etched into my brain. One of my uncles lived near the Goodyear Blimp Base in Carson/Gardena and the Blimp in the movie just resonated with me in some odd way as all of movie did - since I knew many of locations in the movie even that young. The REAL ELEANOR to me will always be the 73 and the original movie is far better than the “other” version. Gladly though: Eleanor Mustang from 'Gone in 60 Seconds' no longer copyrighted as of this month.

Always loved Eleanor. My cousin doesn't like Mustangs like that and even he said he loves that car.
