My grandma ( Mom's mom) was the biggest fan of Davey ( she loved all of the Alabama Gang) after he passed she became a Dale Earnhardt fan the you know what happened she became a Dale Jr fan (she's passed now)

In 1992 we all thought Davey Allison was the Terminator he just kept on going somehow. If his tragic death never occurs, I firmly believe that he would won multiple championships. RlP Davey Allison.

Davey Allison is an embodiment of a driver who had knocks left, right and centre, but still came out smiling. It's sad that he missed out on the 1992 Winston Cup title, but if I was to choose between him, Bill Elliott and Alan Kulwicki, I'd find it extremely difficult in a season full of triumph, tragedy, beating the odds and setting new records to pick one

I began watching NASCAR in '89 it didn't take long before Davey became my favorite driver, I still have quite a few diecasts and memorabilia in my room of his. I continued to follow every driver the 28 after him, sad later when RYR shut down in the 00s. RIP Davey Allison and Robert Yates

I don't think he would've won the title in 93 because Earnhardt was way ahead leading over almost 300 points in the summer of 93 but I've always believed he definitely would've beaten Earnhardt in 94. That 28(which Ernie eventually took over) was bad to the bone fast in 94.

As aa kid from the south and a nascar fan davey is my idol . Hell I never even watched him race live , he died before I was born, but yet I feel a connection to him . I wear a Davey hat 3 days a week and watch videos of him all the time . That dude still is impacting people today . I wish I could’ve watched him race one time or met him . I truly believe he would’ve won as many as Gordon if not more . He was the real deal

Never got to watch Davey as I was born in 93. But he's my dads all time favorite and I can see why. I grew up a Jeff Gordon fan, my all time favorite. It's a shame we never got to see an Allison/Gordon rivalry.

i was there. That was my first NASCAR race too. I was directly across from Earnhardt's pit when he clinched the championship they brought in the banner. Some people cheered and some people just stood in silence when Dale and Rusty did the Polish Victory lap at the end on the race.

For as much as I hear so many takes on Davey's passing they all still make me emotional and sad. He would have changed everything we know about modern day NASCAR. The ripple that happened because of his death is nothing less than enormous. Drivers like Robby Gordon, Ernie Irvan, Dale Jarrett and Kenny Irwin Jr all got opportunies because that 28 was open. Nevermind the Allison vs. Gordon feud we missed out on too. The what if's are infinite.

I was a huge davey allison fan. I still watch nascar from time to time but I don’t have a fav driver. There was no stopping davey from winning the title in 93. I’ve always wondered just how many titles he would have won and how many more alan would have won

I remember being in the crowd at that Richmond race where he won........And the Thursday prior my dad and I waited about 2.5hrs at a local car dealership to get a picture and an autograph......He never left until everybody in line got one.........Still remember that to this day. It's not something you see much in NASCAR anymore

The 1st live race I even attended was at RIR in 1993 , I was fortunate to see him race and win. My second race that year was Pocono the week after he was killed, that was a very emotional weekend and the sadness was felt by all. Dale Earnhardt Sr won the race and gave a emotional shoutout to Davey over the crew radio. 1993 was not a good year for NASCAR due also to losing Alan Kulwicki.

I feel like if Davey did win the championship in 92, it would be one of of those things where people were claiming it was fixed. It's amazing that he had a great season like that with everything he went through. A shame we never got to see where his career would have gone.

If he were alive today he would’ve won around 2 Championships in 1994 and 1999. He would probably stopped racing in 2009 mainly because he was hitting 50. I think he could’ve been on the Fox racehub show. I also Think he could’ve switched to Roush Fenway Racing In 2000. He also could’ve started a team around 2011.

Nadeau never drove the 28. His career ending crash came in 2003 with the #01 MB2 Motorsports car at Richmond. He survived the crash, but he never raced NASCAR again

NASCAR was never the same to me after that, although I was originally a Ned Jarrett fan I was thrilled to see Dale become a RYR driver, I know this sounds weird but I thought I would be really happy to see Robert with his first title and I truly was but it just wasn’t the same if you get what I mean.
