C'est rare de trouver quelqu'un qui connaisse la bonne orthographe du prénom de Mr Allen. Félicitations. Sais-tu qu'il faisait partie de la formation historique du groupe Soft Machine avant que celui-ci n'enregistre son 1er album ? Ensuite, 20 ans après sont sorties sur vinyles les enregistrements confidentiels de la première formation de Soft Machine avec Daevid Allen retrouvées sur bandes magnétiques. It's rare tae find someone who knows the correct spelling of Mr. Allen's first name. Congratulations. Did ye know that he was part of the historic Soft Machine line-up 'fore the band recorded its 1st album ? Then, 20 years later, the confidential recordings o' Soft Machine's first line-up wi' Daevid Allen were released on vinyl. 'Round 1974, the Gong group settled permanently in the southern Drôme countryside. They were 40km from my home. I saw them 2wice during the good Auld days in 1972, when Daevid Allen came on stage 40 minutes after the band started the show wi' a lighted candle attached tae a funnel an' the funnel on his head, dressed in a woman's long nightdress.

I was just listening to the 1st Soft Machine album a few days ago with the one & only Daevid Allen & the legendary Robert Wyatt. And you my friend had the pleasure to listen to the REAL thing in REAL time ! What an experience that might have been. Amazing years & amazing music. Thanks for sharing. I'm now going to look for some recordings of the Daevid Allen Trio ( 1963 !!! )

J'ai vu ce show à Montréal Québec Kanada, c'était génial de les revoir encore une fois! Ce groupe à accompagner mon adolescence à St Dizier où j'habitais étant pré-ado puis je les ai vu dans le sud de la France en revenant du Maroc et après avoir travaillé à Fond-Romeu dans les environs de Toulouse! Quando scoprii You mi si aprì letteralmente un mondo... Poi andai all'inizio della trilogia con Flying teapot e Angel's egg. Quindi ancora Camembert electrique, un paio di live, Shamal... Gruppo inimitabile. Come quasi tutti i gruppi Prog ha dato il massimo nella prima metà dei Settanta.
