I think it's Logan. At least Thomas tries to understand Janus and Remus. But they only really congratulate Logan when he gets rid of Remus. But the other sides are always trying to make Logan shut up, even though he gives important info. It might not be obvious, but just seeing Logan's simple "hi" in the beginning of the series shows that Logan feels unimportant. However, I do believe Remus has been through some stuff and it's hurting him.

Y'all I've been thinking; all of his "dark" sides so far have wanted to help Thomas, even if it was misguided. Virgil wants to keep him safe, Deceit is the king of self-preservation, Remus wants him to open his horizons. But what if a new side came along? One that embodied that urge to do stupid stuff such as jumping off cliffs, walking off of a building, etc. We could see the sides truly band together against this common enemy that would threaten Thomas's life.

It's funny, because if they were truly "letting him go," they probably wouldn't be doing this. Instead, it seems like they're trying this underhanded method to get him back (but I could be wrong). 👍🎉 yes that’s about the situation here though for the original musical I’m pretty sure it’s more of a spite thing then a manipulation thing (body language is important also the visual representation in the animatic changes the meaning of the words so you can use the same song for multiple situations and that’s fascinating)

I love how the song changes to a happier tone at the end, when the light sides accept Virgil as one of their own, before reminding us how Virgil's descion ultimately affects Deceit and Remus. Just loved the tone shift to help emphasize the story. Especially considering this song is supposed to be aimed at calling someone out for being ungrateful or making careless descions. 💗 P.S. I absolutely love how you’ve been able to twist the song’s lyrics to mean something relevant to the animatic itself. The lyrics “now you say that you’re someone new” are said with scorn in the original, but are said with encouragement and love here as the sides have seen how Virgil’s grown. I love this so much! THEORY with a side of meme (sort of): Deceit is Patton's inner coach in a sense, right? So Deceit might have some qualities of Patton, just like Patton might have some qualities of Deceit. Now, just hear me out, but what if, WHAT IF, one of Patton's qualities that Deceit has is the father figure complex???? If this is so, Deceit might view Virgil, Remus, and any other possible Dark Sides as his children. Virgil basically ditched his "father" for a new one. This, in turn, angered Deceit. Basically, what if Deceit is just trying to get his child back?? What if, this whole animosity between Deceit and Patton is because they are having a silent custody battle over Virgil?

I don’t know. Sure, the sides are kinda crazy, but have the dark sides ever shown signs of being toxic or abusive? All we know so far is Virgil used to be a dark side, and wants to protect the light sides from them. All we’ve seen is dislike and maybe a little arguing. I don’t think it’ll happen, as a lot of the stuff we know about the dark sides is fanon.

Beautifully done! The use of sparing but very specific colors is fantastic, the expressions and body language are amazingly well done. I've watched it like three times even and started picking up on little details, like how Remus is flipping Virgil off toward the end and the SPLIT SECOND of tears from the Dark Sides at the close, like, wow! Plus, like, I had to look up the song but this is one of those cases where not only does the song work perfectly even without context, WITH the context (that it's a song from the Dear Evan Hansen musical, about a mom who finds out her son has been secretly hanging out with another, richer family, who have decided to pay for his college as if he was their own son) it's.........YEAH. UM. PERFECT?? FIT?? A++

I feel so bad for the dark sides,kept in the dark for years.hated by more popular ones even though they are doing their jobs as Thomas’s sides like Remus he literally can’t help being who he is and when Thomas delved into his side and made that trolley scene in the newest sander side and deceit in a messed up way is self worth and preservation. And the main ones hate them for it. It so sad,hopefully they’ll learn to lighten up like Virgil and join him
