Speaking of portion control, as someone who's struggled with binge eating (never purging or anything) I see a lot of people recommend the buy individual packs of the tasty foods technique (like this guy recommends) and I just end up binge eating like 6 packs of whatever the snack is. At a certain point, I've just learned that I'm not to be trusted with anything tasty in my home

Same! Tasty food can only come into my house if it's *a* single serving. And ingredients to make the tasty foods are out too, like a bag of sugar or flour, along with the bakeware. Otherwise I find myself 9 p.m. elbow deep (figuratively) in cookie dough or muffin batter. 🤦

I am not a doctor, but have you tried batch cooking? I found that really helped me when I was eating far too much. I make x amount of meals and portion them out and packed them up (never leaving it in the pot, or I will keep going back for more). In the end, as amber said... don't beat yourself up about messing up, acknowledge it happened, and keep going. Good luck!

As someone who is working on intuitive eating, I think anti-diet can be taken too far. Yeah sure, we can break away from the rigidness that cause most diets to fail, but nutrition has to be there in some compacity. Do I want to eat "whatever I am" and feeling shitty doing it? No. Can I eat what I want if it makes me feel my best? Absolutely but that means making sure I have protein filled meals and plenty of fiber rich foods and not just the things I want. I also eat in consideration to borderline high cholesterol which has led me back to eating more plant based.

I've seen a lot of ads that promote binge eating, often featuring overweight or obese models or celebrities: I think it's smartpop with the "its a whole bag kinda night" and one of the delivery services with Lizzo in a bubble bath surrounded by visions of all the snackfoods and fast food she's ordering, and more. Its seems highly improbable that The Algorithm hasn't clocked my eating disorder issues-- and while KZbin/Google allows people to block gambling and alcohol advertising because of addiction, there's no option for food advertising. Ofc if they did, I can see the HAES crowd pitching a fit, because food addiction and binge eating aren't problems, diet culture is. 😒

13:56 over eating is not the main reason for obicty . You can be obese on a calorie restritive diet. However being obese and on a calorie restrctive diet is a asing thet something is wrong ( it can be hormonal, digestive , lapidema ... whatever ) so this is not a healthy body but its also no a case where food intake is the key problem

It is very unfortunate, what happened to Swayze. She was such a nice and smart girl, when she was 100% raw vegan. But then she lost her mind, and now she wastes her life and abuses her children, by feeding them cooked food!
