I found a brand new Olaf snow cone maker still in the box at goodwill, a couple of years ago. I cleaned up the box and added some liquid drink mixes for syrup to the gift. I paid 4 dollars for it. My friends daughter loved it. I was on a budget but it made both of us happy.

Some days you score, some days you don’t. I’m not a reseller but I like to find things for myself at thrift stores. I stopped into a goodwill by me one evening and found a $65.00 Cuisinart top loading waffle maker for $6. It was like new, no scratches, no wear to it, the only thing wrong with it was that someone had used cooking spray on the non stick surface so it was sticky gooey. I know how to remove that so now it’s perfect. That same trip I found a $149.00 Lole tote bag NWT in the general purse area for $5. If you scout around there are bargains to be had for sure. 😊❤️

We have that particular saying for the Easter for Orthodox. I think the first rabbit you picked up, with the hot dog, may be Pendelfin. I'm originally from Longridge in Lancashire. I've copied info from Wikipedia. "Pendelfin is a company specializing in handcrafted and handpainted stoneware based in Burnley, Lancashire, England. It has a very large fan club which covers Europe, North America and Australia. It was started by Jean Walmsley Heap and Jeannie Todd in the early 1950s and went on to be a thriving business."

My trip to the Sal. Army and found a really nice frog-themed votive candle holder...not jut one, or two, but three votive holders. Looks like an arched bridge with frog-themed fence rails...very heavy, made of pewter, not old, but unique enough for an addition to the collection. Another find was a 26 hour history of 20th Century Warfare...on six brand new DVD's. Features footage from 1899-1999. Really like the ghost! I had a little village of those Irish cottages...gave them to an Irish lady friend some time ago...as a birthday present...her 70th.

That bowl is so pretty, what a great find! The Halloween figure is really cool too. It's kind of timeless as it could go into a vintage style home or a more modern one. We've got nothing like your thrift stores here in Spain, they are all small, the same in the UK. Doesn't stop me thrifting though and the trash finds can be good. Our flea markets haven't opened up yet, well locally, due to the pandemic and that's where I'd usually find real bargains and vintage things. Beggars can't be choosers and I'm happy I've got some places to go hunt, but so it's so nice to see others in the world finding great things so thanks, as always, for sharing your adventures. Have a great Halloween and weekend x

@thisoverstuffedhouse4 жыл бұрын
@@PaperandMoose I went to Cowtown over in Jersey and that was a bust. I had never been there. That is almost all new. There were 4 flea market people in the very back. Jake's Flea Market in Barto was great and must be huge in the warmer weather. I also have been the 2 hour drive to Mechanicsburg to the flea that Crazy Lamp Lady goes to. I have done well getting things out there but it helps to be there early if you can. I have not yet been to the one you and Blue Bus Dave tend to sell at yet. From the videos I have seen that one looks like a lot of antiques dealers at the moment. As I do not have a large following yet I have to keep my costs way down when I do buy.
@PaperandMoose4 жыл бұрын
I want to try Mechanicsburg, but as you said, the far drive... you better hope you find some items to make it worth it! For the market that Dave and I sell at, Wednesday is the "dealer" day... mostly dealers there buying/shopping. Pretty much all of my sales are to the dealers who put the stuff right back out on their table and flip it for a few dollars. Fine with me, as I make some money, they make some money, and I move stuff. Weekends might be better for you to check out!
@thisoverstuffedhouse4 жыл бұрын
@@PaperandMoose There are a couple if thrift shops around Mechanicsburg so it could be worth it with some planning. My son took me camping to Cowans Gap state park. Nice cabins. Right outside Chambersburg. Chambersburg has Black Rose Antique Mall with good prices. We alsu found 9 ither thrifting shops in that town. Black Rose does its own big flea markets in summer. I'm not sure... thats not really russian in my eyes... from the first glance and without the writing I would have guessed that its Greek... but maybe its just some weird modern Amarican-Russian thing and the stuff I know is more vintage/old fashioned but you might just google: ХРИСТОС ВОСКРЕС Тарелка They often just have the letters ХВ on them...
