I never found that the top slot worked well for me, but i never did it on higher pulling only by hand but i will try it later this week on a weekly regular job thats 4 sections high.

So you can lock one side of the rubber then pull the other side to make a tight squeegee rubber?

I haven’t put it to the test but you should be able to do so.

Just tested it out and yes, you can pull the rubber and lock it stretched to your desired tension.
