One of the best horror comedies of all time, Dr Giggles stands out from many of the other slashers from the early 90s. With a clever script and a tremendous performance by Larry Drake, the film is just as much fun as it was 20 years ago.

Larry Drake did not want to do Darkman at first, because he read the script and thought his character was too violent. He was so good in both of these movies both Darkman and Dr. giggles and neither movie would be as good without him. I’m very glad he changed his mind. I get why he was hesitant because he was like Danny Tanner before Danny Tanner, but he really was born to play Durrant and Dr. giggles. He was amazing and I will never not love and promote both of these movies.

They were both advertised as straight horror, so I don't blame the reviewers. Dr. Giggles has silly one-liners in the trailer, but this was also right after Terminator 2 came out, and one-liners were everywhere.

This is a great horror-comedy. I most remember Larry Drake's role of Benny on L.A. Law. After seeing him in Darkman as Durant (a similar character to Dr. Giggles), which is also an excellent movie, I became a fan of his. Great review! This movie is perfect because of Larry Drake. I loved the one-liners and doctor jokes. The gore makes me squeamish and this movie also plays to my own fears of doctors and hospitals. If it weren't for the humor, I probably wouldn't ever watch it again because I'd find it too disturbing. Great cast all around, even in the smaller roles like Doug E. Doug, Cliff De Young and Richard Bradford.

Gotcha. Well, there are roughly 62 episodes with the long intro and all the ones from 100 and on have the shorter intro. I like the old intro too but cutting it shortened the time of the videos. When posting things this long, every little bit counts. I'm sure some people even stopped watching because the 30 second intro was too long.

I saw this heavily cut in the late 90's, only saw the uncensored version a few months ago, now i really want it on dvd. The humour is sick, the characters are fun, especially the doc and the gore is plenty, the 90's might have not been the best decade for horror but there where sure some awesome pearls.

It's the only time I've been in an audience where I could _feel_ how embarrassed everyone else was to be sitting there. It was a pretty awkward experience.
