The Double Dragon fighting game for NeoGeo is a loose adaptation of this movie. The US stages have the same post-apocalyptic setting, Bimmy and Jimmy transform from their grungy 90s wardrobe into their medallion suits, Abobo looks the same, Shuko is the final boss, there's a stage with digitized pics from the movie, and the cover art has the same medallion (and probably some other details I missed). Way better fighting game than the Van Damme Street Fighter games

I started with Shadowrun on the SNES and then moved to the P&P. My friends all never wanted to play though so I just read the source books, then the novels. Great stuff, I love the world. Strange Days is excellent. A very cool mindbender with some outstanding performances and clever writing. Sad it just kind of was pushed to the side and never really got the recognition it should have had.

Michel Angelo the dystopian future of 2007. I love how little faith they had, or too much faith in many cases, in the future back in the 80’s and 90’s. My problem with Boll goes beyond the lack of quality of the films. He was taking advantage of a time when video game movies were just starting to be looked at more seriously out and was intentionally making them suck. I really have a lot to say about the subject, I may have to do a vlog or something some time.

Also I don't know if you knew this Trachenburg but Spike and Hammer were the original names not to mention that majority of this movie is based of the Neo Geo fighting game Double Dragon. Koga Shuko is the last boss in the game you have to fight.Look for it on You Tube and you can see where they got the ideas from and the blue and red outfits that Bimmy and Jimmy wear are the outfits from the fighting game.

I kind of treat movies the way I would a meal, this is like one of those weird things that is something a fast food place gave out as a limited time only that you thought was really awesome for me. Strange, unique, but surprisingly kind of good in it's own ways. Also worth mentioning is that I liked the Double Dragon cartoon series which was worlds apart from this movie. Though I do have to point out as somebody already has I bet, that the mailman does NOT die from the fall. As an adult, I do have to think that if that guy can survive that fall then surely Satori should be allowed to survive that explosion...
