Wait, 'Creepers' was the alternate title to 'Phenomena' which was an early Jennifer Connelly flick that involved bugs, a serial killer and a chimp that saves the day in the end... Coincidentally the subplot here in the film presented with the girl being left behind off the bus to meet her demise is eerily similar to the opening scene of "Creepers"/"Phenomena"

I had the good fortune to meet and interview Wanja Mary Sellers, the actress who plays Josie, last summer. Nice lady, had a lot of fun and interesting stories about the shooting of this and other Italian horror movies she made around this time. She was the (credited) director’s husband at the time. Apparently, Joe D’Amato thought she was good luck, so he kept hiring her on his movies. If he didn’t have a role for her, he’d just credit her as a “production assistant” and pay her to hang around the set.

I used to ride the greyhound all the time. At scheduled station stops is when they count people from my experience. With gas station or food stops, they give a disclaimer saying “if you are not back on the bus at ____ time, we will leave without you.” And do NOT make any other effort to see if everybody’s there. Maybe if lucky you’d get a “Is everybody here?” Yell, but no counting or checking most of the time… again for the smaller food or restroom stops.

At least they didn't do the "troll to the third power" as was so popular in the 90's, (I'm looking at you, Xtro), but I guess this was a bit before Alien 3 kicked off that craze. This looks like PREMIUM crap. The kind of thing my brother and I would have rented along with a Nintendo game or stayed up to watch on HBO. Great job on the review, Cecil. First of all, kudos to the Godzilla bank. I remember renting this film under the title "The Crawlers", which made some sense considering what the monsters were. That sheriff has got to be the worst law enforcement guy in B-movie history. The old man lost his dog and the sheriff jokes about losing his teeth. The sheriff deserves multiple "five fingers to the face" (still a classic) before the monsters kill him.
