Not sure why people don’t like resin. Sometimes a piece needs the accent due to what it presents with. I have enjoyed watching your videos for a long, long time now and your creativity always inspires me when I am turning. Thank you for the hard work because I know what it takes to turn these pieces.

Very new to watching video's about woodturning. When I saw this piece of wood my first thought was that it would be an interesting tray. Flat or slightly curved on the bottom, with small bowls on top in the end of what looked like flower petals, pieces removed at the beginning, with a larger bowl in the center. Don't know if anything like that would even be possible. Outer bowls probably have to be hand carved. The piece I'm referencing is around 1:15:20 into this video. Haven't been watching long enough to know what all can be done. Love watching process and to see end product. You do beautiful work.😊

Well, it's not that I hate resin. I only subscribe to 4 woodturners, 2 resin, 2 without. There are pros and cons to each side. But, the one thing that all of you have in common, is talent and creativity, just different means to accomplish it. Obviously, I enjoy your work or else I wouldn't be writing this.

Great video. Thanks Andy. I for one have seen more than enough resin. My interest is wood turning, not plastic scraping. Far more skill in completing complex shapes in wood as evidenced here than in using litres of resin to end up with yet another dogfood bowl shape and a ton of plastic shavings headed for land fill.

Happy New Year. I watch primarily to observe your mastery of turning and to see how I could improve my skills and creativity and not as AMSR. It would appear that some of your carbide tools are not marketed in the USA. Just as “tools don’t make an excellent carpenter”, they don’t for turners as well yet they help.
