I did the same. I was there 12.5 years and now I’m gone. I quit a couple medium and large subreddit moderator positions, and deleted everything I had ever posted or commented that I still had access to. Now I’m free of reddit, and I guess reddit is free of me. Let’s call it a draw.

This song evoked so much sadness in me. I downloaded Apollo right after discovering Reddit 6 or so years ago, so I know nothing but Apollo now. I can’t tolerate Reddit any other way except via Apollo, so I guess I am screwed. Thank you Christian for your loving care of this app. It was so obvious how much of a perfectionist and detail oriented person you are. And we all benefitted from that. I received the pop up several times about refusing the refund on both my iPad and iPhone. I hope that it s only connected to Apple ID and not each alt (because I had several). I want to make sure I cost you nothing extra. I also added a tip equal to a years worth of Apollo Ultra just to make sure. I am so sorry it happened this way Christian, but you are a hero for how hard you tried. Much love from Illinois.

Apollo allowed me to enjoy Reddit, and by Reddit I mean the users, since all the contents and all the comments come from them. So since the contents come from the users and the app was Apollo, I don’t owe any gratitude to Reddit itself. The admins made terrible choices and their app sucks so hard that is straight up annoying to use. Thanks to Apollo and the other users I have found likeminded people, I have laughed, and most importantly I have learned. I have learned so much about such a variety of topics, and I have realised that some symptoms I have and thought were random are actually a condition my own doctor missed initially, and I can now get treatment and I feel much better than before. I am grateful to Christian and the other users for the countless hours together, you made my life better. F##k Reddit admins, you have deprived me of a good service, you greedy incompetent dimwits.

Reddit gets a lot of crap (rightly so in some cases), but it’s been a place where I’ve learned so much from so many fun and passionate niche communities (shoutout to r/aviation!). It’s a huge bummer that those things are so much more tedious to access now.
