Fair to say mate , telco speeds are subjective though, you can find provider issues on any phone , and yes the iPhones also have glitches , but usually they are fixed very quick , and touchwood my iPhone has generally been very good , definitely not perfect though just like any phone , going to a pixel though ……. Out of the frying pan and into the fire ????😊, look at past history , pixels are a bit notorious for issues , hopefully this 7 might break that tradition ,time will tell.

In India Pixel 7 pro is 80, 000 .rs (975$) and iPhone 14 Pro is 180, 000 .rs ( 2,190$), buying pixel saves (1,215$), but if you wanna complain about the camera quality buy a 1000$ DSLR and still save 200$. Pixel is the best choice.

One thing to note about the camera app. You could have Top Shot active so it takes multiple pictures for a mini flip book of pictures. So that could potentially be why there is a delay of you being able to spam the shutter button.

I just got mine and a few points from a new user. If you are going to upgrade from the regular Pixel 6 to the 7 I would upgrade to the 7 pro. It feel like more of an upgrade with the 3 cameras and curved screen. Personally I upgraded to the 7 pro because Google offered $440 USD for my Pixel 6 trade in plus $200 USD Google store credit coming out to 640 USD so shelling out $300 USD I was blessed enough to have the cash. I personally would of not upgraded if there was no trade in money. We always get excited about new tech but to be honest my LG v60 ( my backup device) still runs like new and has the September update the only thing I'm missing out is the Google camera software which is second to none. So if your old phone runs like a champ install GCam from XDA also if the phone is 2 years old swapping a fresh battery helps. Great Review Video!

That scratch after 30 minutes is a deal breaker. You shouldn't need a screen protector. I've not used one on my last several sphones and no scratches after years.

Amazing how reviewers in 2022 still don't know that Gorilla glass Victus is garbage when it comes to scratches !! It's softer to allow for better fall protection but picks up scratches and is inferior in that aspect to previous Gorilla variants.

@@etuoyo yup .... Most people don't realise it. Also goes to show you how useless the Jerry Rig comparisons are ... For nearly a decade all phones with the Gorilla glass has been " light scratches at lvl 6 with deeper grooves at a lvl 7 ..." Well in real life we see 5 year old phones that have no scratches at all while modern phones have a lot of micro scratches and even some really noticeable ones. People experience it yet NO reviewer mentions this or investigates it.

I was a Samsung Note guy for years, going through a few upgrades. A few years ago I switched to the Pixel 3 and had been through every upgrade since. Getting ready to change my 6 pro to the 7 pro. If I remember the Pixel at one time did have facial recognition and during covid got away from it due to not being needed because of wearing a mask and to save cost. Glad to see that it is coming back. Through all the phones I have had in my lifetime, and that has been many, even while living in Japan for 10 years. I can say the Pixel phone has been the best phone that I have used..

I still have the S20 and I am very tempted, especially by the price, trade in offer & the free watch/buds here in the UK. Having watched a few reviews however, I have my doubts. I get the feeling the jump up in tech isn't big enough after only two years (even if two years feels like an eternity). The pixel looks like a finger print magnet, the aluminium band looks like it will scratch easily, the artificial bluring on the video in particular looks hit & miss and in my opinion, having to buy a case defeats the whole purpose of a phones design. I need to take some time to think on this one but I have a feeling that it may be worth waiting for next year's iPhone/S23/Pixel before taking the leap.

You are much better at taking better pictures thus demonstrating what the camera can really do. Many phone reviewers are clueless as to how to take good pictures. However, from other reviews it looks like the video aspect is pretty bad for a phone that just came out and at that price. It seems google thought they spent enough time on the phone and wanted to get it out unfinished and charge the full price hoping people wouldn't mind the terrible video aspect.

The biggest difference few talk about will be the modem. The old modem on my 6 Pro kills the battery when I have it on 5G. With a better modem, the endurance on the phone should be better.

It HAS been reported on many tech channels, Victus glass MAY be tougher with regards to resisting drop shatters, but, IS LESS protective when it comes to scratches (keys/coins/etc), compared to the last Gorilla glass level. SO ALWAYS get a glass screen protector, better that cracking/scratching (and costing £4 to £20 replacement than paying out £100s... 😏 😎🇬🇧

The number of cracked phone screens amongst my friends makes me weep! I don`t think you`ll be disappointed with the 7 Pro. I recently upgraded from the 6 Pro and have to say that the 7 Pro is awesome in terms of the photography. Although the biometrics on my 6 Pro weren`t ideal, I became accustomed to the slightly slow fingerprint biometrics. The fingerprint reader on the 7 Pro works like a dream as does face unlock and it`s a no-brainer to upgrade when they`re throwing in a free Pixel watch.

I had S22 Ultra for 3 months and sold it yesterday. This phone is so overrated and has so many issues. I was tricked by so many reviewers into buying this and will never be going back to Samsung again. Now I'm using my 1+7 pro from 3.5 years ago and it feels so much smoother and more comfortable. I think my next phone would be either nothing phone 2, pixel or OnePlus 11 Pro.

But yeah watching a video on galaxy software bugs fixed yesterday, the list was very large . As an old galaxy note user that rarely has a problem , it’s not a good look for Samsung who has in my estimation in recent years gone down a peg or two for other reasons.

@@mikldude9376 mine was snapdragon version. The only good thing about the phone was the screen. It did make a big difference when using outdoor, but other than that, I can't find a single point to buy this phone. Camera is good if u take a shot carefully, but if u want to use the 48m main sensor to quickly take a shot to capture the moment, u can't because it takes so long to finish the shot and u end up with a blurry image most of the time. The phone has terrible battery optimization software, many of my apps got randomly put into deep sleep mode or disabled. The outcome of that is as soon as u switch from app A to B, then switch back, app A will restart. You have to constantly go and check if ur app is listed in deep sleep and move them out. When u r just walking out of the wifi coverage, it takes forever, and sometime never to switch to cellular. When you quickly tab something after u minimize an app by swiping up, a lot of the times it will reopen the app u just closed and perform the action on the spot u tabbed because the screen touch has a bit of delay. Charging speed is mediocre at best. Unless u need the pen, I found absolutely 0 reason to get the S22 Ultra. I was a Samsung fan in their S3, Note 2 days and used Samsung phone for 4 years until I can't handle the issues with their bloated OS and software. Can't believe after so many years they are still the same.

i just moved to iPhone 14 Pro from an S21 Ultra and love it except for a few lacking features and the keyboard. I would only consider going back to an Android (Google specifically) if they released a top tier phone in a normal size (eg. iPhone 14 Pro). It was one of the main reasons I moved away from Android.

Main thing I love about Pixel♥️ phone is they are more independent than iPhone because I can't imagine using iphone without Google apps(KZbin, Google search, Chrome, Gmail, etc.,). But pixel always cleaner in that manner❤️ If Pixel catch up with Hardware in future then no phone could even come closer to Pixel for Sure💯♥️ Google apps way better than iPhone apps, for example maps in Apple utter waste compared to Google maps also KZbin. We can't pass a day without youtube which is a Google product. G Board is better keyboard than iPhone key board, Google search is best in the world, etc......... So in this way Apple apps looks like junk apps which we can't uninstall compared to Google apps. Anyway Google won't make apps exclusive for Android only atleast untill they gain more users💯💯💯

We all remember Nokia and how much Microsoft lost by killing a mobile phone brand that produced the most innovative phones in the pre IPhone era. Honestly, I would stop using all Google products if they would do KZbin proprietary, that comes from a guy that used an Android in the last 15 years, just switched to Iphone recently but I may return for the Pixel 8 if they up the hardware, the Pixel 7 still not there with the hardware, although they have the meanings to go full throttle. They need some more time to catch up.

How is the in screen fingerprint sensor? I had an optical one and absolutely hated it, it was just too inaccurate. When I went to the ultrasonic on the note20 ultra I've had very little issues, it's faster than the optical sensors I've used

Seems everybody forgets about samsung dex and the s pen n stuff if the pixel would come with a pen that does all the same as samsungs s pen and something similar to samsung dex then yea samsung may get worried

With the bugs , in two different videos now I have seen the 7 pro have some bad focus issues while doing video , no doubt fixable in an update , but it was like the camera could not decide what area to focus on.

Great review and insight. I went from iPhone to Samsung S22+ and absolutely hate it. It is glitchy and freezes but I like what Google has done with the 7 Pro.I was actually thinking about trading in my S22+ for the Pro. By the way, I love pics of the village. I'm an American anglophile but it is a soccer ball. :>)

Every reviewer says with Pixel you're getting the best Android experience but they never breakdown the differences between Google pixel phones and the other android phones on the market and why this is? It would make a good and interesting video rather than brushing over it and saying 'its how android is meant to be'. Good review though as always.

In what way? It’s been great for me, has the best watch experience and I don’t need to subscribe for basic workout tracking or sleep tracking, great battery on the phones great app optimization, syncs across devices really well, simple for my mom to use and FaceTime easily. They don’t kill off features or services every other week. I am jealous of that google assistant though

Keep the S21 Ultra for at least one more year. I don't believe that the tech jumps significantly enough each year to justify the switch after only one year. In fact, to get full value and greater impact, I'd wait at least three years before switching. I have the S20 and was tempted myself but the more I see of the Pixel 7, the more I feel I should wait until next year's model.

Keep it, the Google pixel 7 pro doesn't feel like much of an upgrade (before damage) from my damaged s20 ultra, so Id say wait a bit unless you're having issues

I don’t understand why people have issues with tech reviewers switching back and forth between android and iPhone? I switch back and forth all the time. I love tech. period and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you’re an android user that never used an iPhone, maybe try it for one year. And same for iPhone users, try the pixel and then decide. I enjoy them both. I usually stay with iPhone because its effortless with a Mac and other Apple devices. And the apps are just developed better on iOS. But I miss the amazing Google software, everyday features and assistant. That’s why I’m on a upgrade every six month plan. I’ll have the iPhone for 6 months, then try the pixel for 6. And back to iPhone 15, etc… 😉

The disappearing photos problem could be due to hellish google photo which i refuse to pay for this exact problem: once you store your photos in it, the photos in the gallery will be automatically removed and find the way to stop this is quite difficult

Why would you? The s22 came out under a year ago. Both phones are amazing but I wouldn't do that. If you were coming from the s20... Then yeah, I'd upgrade but the s22 is a great phone. As much as I want to get the pixel 7 pro, I'm going to keep my 6pro for at least another year.

Do you care about the pen? Or the most demanding games? And do you like some of the niche features Samsung offers? From what I can tell, you'll get a very similar experience but it's more expensive for those reasons above. Sounds like the Pixel 7 Pro is the most refined phone. But the 23 Ultra will be announced in a few months and you already have one of the top 3 phones you can get right now.

I joined Sony to get away from the Samsung iphone battle. After many years thought it was time to upgrade. And the pixel 7 pro was that choice. Battery has been fantastic. Yes it's a bit to charge but remains charged for much longer. Infact it's now 8pm and I still have half and I have done my fair share of youtubing today. Smoooooooth was my first thought. It just felt responsive and nice at the same time. I'm not sure if the camera was designed for grabbing but getting it out of my pockets feels safer with the back piece lol. Still no glitches but it's only been 2weeks. Oh and because everything is google now days such as email games etc it feels connected. It's not just n app anymore it feels like it came with the phone. I'll see how it is in a year's time.

Never thought I would see the day where people's change in preference for a phones operating system causes people to react like they are changing religions or moving to a different country. Wild. I have an iPhone as my work phone and an Android (Samsung) for my personal. I personally find Android much more intuitive and less restricting on software and hardware I choose to use but to each their own.

Google needs to improve the tinny sound from their phones in comparison to the iPhone in this video. I had the pixel 6 and the sound was very tinny. It was particularly annoying as there was little to no volume until I got to about 80 percent, anywhere below that then forget about it. There was no middle ground, it was all or nothing.

I do want the 7 Pro but I'm done with curved displays. My S10 Plus developed a small spider crack on the edge of the display (the curve) whilst sitting on my bedside table. I kid you not. I went to bed, no crack, woke up, tiny but obvious crack. That small spider crack has since grown gradually into a tarantula with a dead spot in the display and wonky, sometimes unusable touch interface. When you get a premium flagship phone and do your best to baby it because you plan on keeping it for several years, you want it to be at least somewhat durable. But the fact is, curved displays cannot be properly protected even with cases and screen protectors. They may have been a novelty 5+ years ago, but the gimmick has grown old. Can't we just drop them already? Not literally of course because a curved display can't withstand such abuses as sitting on a bedside table, let alone being dropped. 🤦‍♂️😂 Seriously though, why can't Android phonemakers do flat panels on their top tier flagship devices? Pixel 7: flat panel is fine. Pixel 7 Pro: oh, this one has to be more premium so we better distort and compromise the display by curving the edges. That sounds like an automaker curving the windshields on their top trim levels, distorting your view of the road. But hey, curved glass is premium, apparently. This BMW looks great, but you know what would make it look more premium? A Jetsons style bubble window. No you're going off on a tangent! 😡 Sooooooo... flat panel Pixel 7 it is I guess. Too bad though. I do love zoom lenses. 🤷‍♂️

I thought my pixel 6 pro battery life pretty good. Usually lasts a whole day with 20 % left. Then again I don't play games. I do watch a lot of videos on KZbin

Videos if u play them at High definition will drain battery not as quick as games but it does consume quite abit so like 2 hours if vids can equal 1 hour of games (i think dont hold me to it)
