Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!

As for the farm...I recently went back and re-watched your earliest videos. you have come a very long, long way, Duong! Your farm is big, and has lots of features. Buildings, fences, garden area, the huge fish pond and now the waterfall, orchards full of fruit trees, and pigs as well as chickens. So many chickens now, when it was only a short while ago that you caught your first hen and her chicks! So much to be pleased with, and even proud of!

It’s fun to not completely understand the vision of what you are building, then the surprise when it all comes together. Then I watch the project again with the knowledge of what it will be. Good Day Duong and Welcome Back! I would like to see you make a very big area with a wire fence all around for your pigs to run and play. It would be like a pasture. There would plants they can eat, they can fertilize the soil and enrich it for future crops and they will grow bigger and better hams. This would require a very big area with good sunlight to produce plants the pigs can eat. The pigs would not go into the pasture every day. Perhaps every fifth day they could spend several hours playing in the pasture just before they get fed. Then they would be happy to come to their pen when you put out their food. What do you think of that idea? I think you have progressed to the point that buying wire fence would not offend your subscribers. 😊

I really would like to know how you or/and your wife were able to get all this sand for the mortar, and all those very big rocks to the location. This is way too much and way too heavy to bring that back from the river down there. I would have taken weeks, and many back problems. So how did you do it?

I kinda agree… since initially they showed how to do it primitively, it doesn’t bother me if they bought raw materials to finish the project. You are right it would have taken weeks with many back problems for 2 people. I don’t want to wait months for a video of a single wall to the pond to be built.

We can understand the bitter sweet feelings you mentioned about being apart. Pond and waterfalls look spectacular, great design skills you two have. Curious to see how those bananas grow, and what the fruit is like. I had no idea there were dwarf bananas. Bananas are very confusing anyway, a herbaceous tree that makes fruit, that is odd stuff for sure. Be well.😉

Why do you all not bring your children to the farm to live where you all can be together as a family? I often wonder this, but I guess some don’t want there kids there due to the dangers of snakes and the insect pressure in the forest. But you and your wife are truly amazing people and are really making a beautiful farm, and watching it come together one video at a time is truly amazing. It is so good to see you are better and back on the farm again Sure have missed you but your wife did amazing job taking care of things while you were away.

If you can grout in the bottom it will be a very nice bathing pool with an outlet for the pond and great laundry area as well....or simply cool off area on warm days...The children will love it and it willkeep them from being under foot when your working with out them...

That's good that it worked and the water cleared up as it overflowed into the other pond. Very nice. I hope you figure out more things to do with making concrete lime with the cooked limestone and figuring out more things to do with concrete and mortar. I don't know what else you could need to work on besides expanding your food crops for your fish/chickens/pigs. Maybe you could make a worm farm and give worms to your chickens from it. Or maybe worms are easy to find anyways and you can just collect them. It would be neat if you started farming crabs there and kept some there to live and breed there. Like the ones your wife found.

hi Duong, why not use waterpower to slice and mince animal feed, i have noticed that the water wheel is broken, it may not powerful enough to drive bellow or a grinding stone, but slicing soft plants like banana stock and Leafs.slowly will save you alot effort and time.
