Cool, I liked the reactions. A full range. I think that is more about how different people’s taste buds are, as well as what mouth feels they enjoy. I didn’t realize they knew the dish was vegan from the start. For a real taste test, they shouldn’t have known it was vegan. I think no matter how we try to be impartial, we have a prejudgement. I’d like to see it again with them just testing it for a critique and suggestions for improvement. They’ve been perfection their own lasagna recipes, and could give a tip that could be incorporated to make it better.

My two things that makes my lasagna trick meat eaters is marinating the "ground beef" in faux beef bouillon prior to cooking it and using Follow Your Heart brand vegan cheese. I am picky about texture, so I like my cheese gooey and my protein to be slightly overcooked for a more realistic texture. I love these videos! Turning skeptics into believers.

@grandma walrus everything dish is by taste with me. No real recipe... ever. 😩 I mix the cooked beyond sausage with the already cooked "beef." Everything else doesn't hit the spot for me. Those are probably the only only steps that I do differently that others.

Like if it’s not right they will flat out say it’s not right. My mom took care of an elderly Italian patient for so many years and even she was quite critical of the pesto pasta I made her from scratch. She was quiet while eating the whole plate and once she finished it she said she loved it because she was able to finish it. Italians are very beautiful and hard working peoples hence I feel that’s why they are quite harsh critics of others also.
