This is a timely video for me. I have been working on my lower body rotation and had introduced some minor reverse tilt. My left knee always wants to go towards my right toe!

A Core slider is a good option for this drill Stu. Just gave it a go and it’s definitely not as easy as it looks, I’ll give you that 😊 See you soon

Looks like this is a popular ‘head scratcher’ for the Cartwright Collective - I’ve always felt unsure about my left knee position as it ‘looks’ a bit like it moves out towards the toe of the left foot of better golfers - clearly another case of dodgy camera angles and insufficient knowledge - thanks for the concise clarification Stu! Dunc PS; I’m still loving the game!

Hey Duncan - love hearing the positive vibes and glad this has opened up some thoughts on the matter! Best wishes Stu 😊

Some coach said left hip should be lower during backswing …and you said it should be higher. Is that correct?
@GoodGolfCoaching11 ай бұрын
It will “feel” higher than the right, for sure. And if you apply this feel it will fix your left knee issue as explained in the video. Left hip lower application will kill your backswing. Best wishes Stu 😊

I will try this i hit both of the bad shots you talk about . I have been trying to stabilize my to keep them level by not turning the knee in or out but it restricted my turn which produce both a out to in swing because i dont turn enough or a swing that is in to out and comes across or glancing hit producing a week and spinning shot with an open club face or a shot to left if i close the club face.

Bet the path on that last one was +2.4 for that little push draw. 🙂 Trying to come up with some "rules of thumb" for face (FTT) and path combos. Bet you have a nice list, already. My spreadsheet isn't spitting them out as clearly as I had hoped/expected.

@@GoodGolfCoaching More filling ain't gonna spit out them rules of thumb for me. 🙂 Looks like if my face angle is in the same direction as my path and between about 1/6 and 2/3 its magnitude then I get a pretty playable pull fade. If they're closer than that, then it's pretty much just a pull, and if it's it's significantly greater than the path angle then it's a pull draw or pull hook - I think. When one is positive and the other is negative is where I could use some "rule of thumb" help. Seems to start getting right counterintuitive sometimes. . . 🙂

Fade or push fade. Just flip them. Rule of thumbs in my experience when I comes to golf do more harm than good. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. Watching my content will give you knowledge rather than a quick over view. Best wishes Stu 😊

Wanted to verify: As you are moving your front knee back on the backswing, are you also increasing the pressure on the front foot at the same time?

Hi Mike - yes I am Sir. Hope that helps.

In general poorer player never consciously ACTIVATE the muscles located on the body trunk in order to turn around their spine. They just use all this other crap like arms, shoulders, and knees. This is why Jack Nicklaus INSISTED all of his life that the first 2 inches of the take-away is the most important part of the golf swing. He stated you can never recover once past that point. That two inches is the ONLY PLACE in the swing that you can consciously activate body trunk muscles. AND THIS IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF A CONNECTED SWING. Everything is connected to your body turn as the leader of the charge. This drastically reduces the need for timing and is the key to carrying the range game to the first tee. There is very little timing required and we all know timing never sticks around very long. This is why you see many pros with very short swings these days.

Technically impossible to keep hips level with bent knee or internally rototed
