i totally get when carli means when she gets the ick the second her crush likes her back. im the same way!! i think it stems from my not liking to be flirted with. i haaate being spoken to in a flirtatious manner or spoken to like someones trying to "win me over". it feels disingenuous. like just talk to me like a normal person. just because im a girl (cis straight female) that you may like more than a friend, doesn't mean you can't still talk to me like a normal person?? like just be nice and genuine! i like a person because theyre a good person and funny and smart -- not because you have "skills" in picking up women. the biggest ick. im in a relationship with a man for almost 2 years and one of the reasons why i think i liked him so much and why it worked out is because he just spoke to me like a normal person. he asked questions and was genuinely curious and wanted to get to know me. he didnt flirt or try to so hard. i just hate feeling like an object and i think that happens a lot with women especially when it comes to dating and crushes. i hope i explained that well. love you guys & the pod!!

I just have a personal ick because it happened to me.. so about 3-4 years ago I volunteered to shave my head for a fundraiser to raise money for a friend with cancer... I was talking to a guy at the time I decided this and I told him about my future plans to shave my head.. he just responded with "why?" And then said how it's nice it's for a good cause but it's weird me as a girl would shave my head... Like boy bye. Not saying I'd ever shave my head again(the growing out process was not fun haha) but it was for a good reason and I honestly didn't fucking care about not having hair.. he just seemed too judgemental and weird about a girl with short hair no matter what the reason...
