Steve that guy has to have a return filter upstairs on the first floor. I'm sure if you find it it will have at least 3/4 of an inch of thick dust on the filter. Replace the cap and give the system a little bit of dinosaur juice and hoes the coils down. Nice job. Peace brother and Molly

Some systems set up the intake filter remotely. The ducting usually goes into the closest room in the house. they should look.

I noticed you don't use a drill/driver to take out the screws from the units you service. I understand not using it to put the screws in because you don't want to strip them out but why not use one to take them out? I have a simple but dumb question. You measure both superheat and subcool regardless of confirming if it's a piston or txv. Do you have a rule of thumb or just go off of years of knowledge? I do service and if I don't know what's what, I'll get eyes on the coil to see if it's a piston or txv for measurement.

Dino Mitsios I rented a condo near the beach for a weekend years ago. Very hot inside. Thermostat set at 72F; inside temperature was at 79F. Could hear the air handler in the attic running. Hardly any airflow from vents. Called owner and asked when she changed the filters last. Had no idea what I was talking about. Asked how long she owned the property. She had it built 9 years prior. Got access into the attic. Took almost 30 minutes to get the filter out in pieces. Dirt was at least 3-4” thick on filter. She said nobody ever told her about filters. Her main house had radiators, so she was clueless. Got the weekend for free...she got low A/C bills finally...couldn’t believe I was the only one that noticed an issue

It has a filter. This is a rental property. Tenant calls landlord saying i aint got no ac. Tenant then realizes they havent changed their filter in a year. Then the scramble is on. Tenant goes and buys new filter. You get there system is running fine🤔🤔🤔
