Tim Keller sermons via Gospel in Life: In the Old Testament God created a covenant with Israel so that they would become his people and he would be their God. In response to his goodness to them, he calls them to simple goodness out of reverence for him. How do we respond to God’s goodness in light of what he has done for us?
Scripture: Micah 6:6-8

What a child of God. He was one of the most prolific pastors. His sermons were so so convicting, but his voice spoke in such love. So patient in talking, but with such hope. He will truly truly be missed.

Praise God for Tim Keller and his amazing God-given gift of teaching the Word in context with clarity and simplicity, such that the Gospel (so misunderstood or NOT even understood by many, even believers) is seen in light of the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, I can almost hear Jesus say to Pastor Tim, as He welcomes him: Well done, good and faithful servant! I think the Hindus believe humanity must unite with God through the practice of yoga. Which was originally meditation and later the yoga stretches and things like that. Yeah Hindus I think they are pantheists but they still think karma and rebirth happens so they try to live a good life. But of course I'm not Hindu and it's foreign to me. I have spoken with Hindus and they think we're all pretty much worshipping the same God. David patrick Harry on KZbin has done a long presentation on Hinduism. He's an orthodox Christian though so pretty different from Presbyterian or calvinist.

I LOVE That Tim reminds us to Remember the IMMIGRANT, meaning Rather than Hate them and Punish them for coming HERE to the US, that we should INSTEAD Treat them with LOVE and Respect and HELP Them!!! Refreshing!!! Basically the Exact OPPOSITE than how they are Treated by Republicans!!!!

Talk to people who are at the border. When their properties and lives are under threat by some of the migrants. Fences broken down. Citizens have died because of migrants. Criminals, enemies of the state and human traffickers are constantly going through the porous border. These are the facts people like Keller conveniently avoid. Keller has also shown his anti white stance, I think it's on KZbin. Being white equals "white privilege" in Kellers perspective. He had a history of sympathy for a Marxist way of thinking. Not that caring for people is bad. But illegal migration has been encouraged by the Biden administration for sure.

One of my favorite examples of how meaningless it is when a person claims to be a christianist: The TV show DATELINE has an episode in which a very religious christianist man met a christianist woman and knew she was, in fact, his soulmate that god sent especially to him. The staunch christianists married, and in about 3 months, she murdered him for insurance money. So, the man had prayed very hard, and just KNEW god answered his prayer. He's dead. Careful what you pray for, right? Amen.

Thoughts I want someone saved, but does God? Yes, because of Jesus's human nature? No, without jesus. Debt People believe in God but can't see the chasm that jesus fills. Even if say you believe in jesus, how can you know him if you can't understand who he is(the "thing" that fills that chasm)? The word "belief" alone is not belief. Saying to yourself that God is approachable so far as a personal relationship goes without contemplating the price of your salvation leads people to a God that is void of Jesus. We need to encourage people to spend time in contemplation of the price of salvation while in God's word because this will help them understand who Jesus is. We should not just tell them to shout Jesus's name as loud as possible. Without understanding the chasm (debt), whatever God you follow can fit into what's you think God should be instead of the one who is across said Chasm that has provided a way to him. When walking across a bridge that is over an endless pit, you are aware of the pit.... if you're not asking yourself what the price of the bridge was, it may be because you're not on it. Starting to contemplate the price of the bridge that you don't know you're on may result in a deeper awareness of it, or you're being led to it in the first place. My opinion. Luke 14:26 - end What does considering the price of a build as in a home give me. Before having it The desire for the building, The footsie for the funds, The desire for the knowledge that leads to having it, The understanding for it's necessity, The understanding of your position and its After obtaining it The love for it The hatred of not having it or it being taken (the place you existed without it).

This man put down the new released movie about a man named Tim Ballard who was helping to rescue kids in Columbia that were sold for sex, years ago. I listened to Tim Ballard here in Utah at a function with LDS and Christian people and how sad it is that people like this Keller have to put down a film that is true because it gives references to a good man who happens to be LDS. Shame on this Keller guy. He's transparent. I worked in Sex offender unit and this has going on in Columbia and other places for years. Disgusting that Keller tries to stay not neutral and goes this way, supporting the media who wants to keep this film to not be truthful, yet other honest Christian pastors are on board.

@nangephriam1211 His woke false gospel of social justice is not the good news. He preached a "gospel" where whites owed blacks, where the rich owed the poor. Instead of allowing Christ to impute His righteousness onto Whites, Keller imputed the sins of others onto them. Keller turned the Gospel on its head.
@prayunceasingly2029
@prayunceasingly2029 11 ай бұрын
@@DefenderoftheCross I think those who are rich and Christian should have a spiritual urge to help others (the church and the poor) with their wealth. But that's part of Christian faith, rather than needing a political ideology like Marxism to shame and pronounce guilt on one group seen as so called called oppressors (whites or the rich) and then claim minorities and the poor are automatically victims of white privilege and rich people. I mean sin is a problem for all. And love for others is a requirement for all if they're of Christ. So I agree that while Keller was a good preacher in some respects he compromised his teaching to some extent by incorporating Marxist ways of thinking.
