Hermitcraft S7 Ep 51: Aquatown's New NETHERITE Shop!

Hermitcraft season 7 episode 51, we are back on Hermitcraft 7 to work on Aqua Town and finish the interior design of Threads by Scara building. The New shop will sell Netherite armor and other clothing items. We also get Baby Yoda back from Grian with a present and a reminder that I still need to finish the backside of Grian's mansion. It's not bdubs who spelled it wrong. Scar spelled 'aqua' 'aque' in the sign he wrote near the entrance of aque town. So then saw the spelling mistake and he started calling it Aque Town and is still calling it Aque Town.

For the value proposition of the suits of armor, based off of the component prices other items: - At Cinnabun, ancient debris sell for 9 diamonds each. At this price, a netherite ingot would be worth 36 diamonds. Also of note is that Grian sells netherite tools at the barge for 32 diamonds, so the actual price doesn't have a set standard. - Since netherite armor is made from diamond armor, you would need 24 diamonds to craft it in the first place. The total price of a set of netherite armor using components you can buy elsewhere in the shopping district is 168 diamonds. You could probably charge a bit more, but your price isn't unreasonably low.

With the added cost of the armor, the amount rises to 168 diamonds. So to get some money out of the deal, you should charge 192 diamonds (or 3 stacks).

So, if I am remembering correctly, Cub's Cinnabon shop sells ancient debris for 1 diamond block (9 diamonds). It takes four scraps of ancient debris to make one netherite ingot, meaning four diamond blocks and thus 36 diamonds per ingot (given that you have the gold already, which most hermits have because of the mass excavations they do, and a set of diamond armor to convert into netherite). The elytras I'm not 100% certain about price but if I remember correctly, an unenchanted elytra costs 25 diamonds and both Unbreaking III and Mending I books at LLAMB cost 1 diamond, so you would essentially be paying 3 diamond blocks for a fully enchanted elytra. Therefore, a full netherite set of armor would cost 16 blocks of diamond (144 diamonds) and a netherite set with an elytra in place of the chestplate would cost 15 diamond blocks (135 diamonds). Meaning all of the armor stands that Scar made would cost 184 BLOCKS of diamond (1656 diamonds). Talk about Operation Aque Thunder.

I, too, thought one stack was profitable, but seeing this made me re-check my math. Going off Cub’s price and taking into account that the armor was not purchased from villagers, I get 167 diamonds for the full netherite set (166 if the gold is free). For the shop to be profitable, therefore, the price per armor set must be at least 19 diamond blocks.
