From what I remember ... when I was a kid and we went to Chinese restaurants in the 60s, they just served your tea in a handle-less cup like that with no saucer. They'd bring a little teapot to the table so you could refill it yourself ...

Yes, they do. I do if I love the piece. I’m buying for myself and I don’t mind a small bit of damage especially on vintage pieces. I don’t understand people who have to have everything perfect or it’s is considered trash. To each their own.
