We'll never get tired of the Chain Gang here at Goodwood. Some of the most entertaining cars and characters of any of our events. We had the chance to talk to Dougal Cawley, owner of 'Piglett' the Frazer Nash about life in the Chain Gang and how the simple but complicated cars work.
Arguably the fastest gear changes in the field according to Dougal allows them to concentrate of balancing the cars (mostly sideways) through the corners. We'll let Dougal explain...

If you know how a classic "slide shift" (as Ford used to call it) manual works, then this construction makes a whole lot of sense. How long would a chain have lasted back in the day?

I really love this level and class type. For me it's more entertaining and realistic than..... sadly..F1. I would hate to see it banned in the future, by those eco stop oil nut cases liberals...who think that they alone, can save the planet..

No, they're English. The drivers are posting the colours in support of the side they want to see win, not unlike what plenty of folks do for their favourite sports team.
