He’s with his family. On TV, there are reports of meth making lots of money. Walter sees this decides to join his brother in law Hank, who is with the DEA. At that house he notices one of his former students Jesse Pinkman. He purposely doesn’t tell Hank because he wants to make meth with him. He tracks the license plate and hours later he goes to Jesse Pinkman’s house. There’s more but I think that’s what he was referring to.
