Thank you. Tried to follow a few videos and my account never looked the same as those videos. This one matched my UK google ads page. The only issue I have had is I cannot get it to "excellent" only good at 97.1% optimization score. Thanks again

Glad it helped! 97% optimisation score is good enough. Just make sure you are using very high buyer intent keywords.

Good video on setting up the Google Ads campaign for local business. But what I am looking for is: What exact optimization steps to follow on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis? How and when do you decide to pause the non performing keywords and add new ones (filters to apply, etc.)? How do you increase the quality score to lower the CPC and increase the ad rank? Do you have any SOPs or a Google sheet for that to keep track of performance?

Make sure your ad groups, keywords, and landing page are all congruent to improve the quality score. Some optimisations to do include looking at the times your ads perform best and conducting optimisations accordingly, split testing ad copy, split testing call-only ads, reviewing negative keywords at least once a week, and analysing the locations where your ads perform best. This has been requested a few times, so we will put together a video soon with an optimisation checklist. Hopefully that helps for now though.

Great explanations! How do you feel about local service ads? It seems they would be better because of being priced by lead. I know they are not available in all areas though

We do both for clients, depending on the industry.

Plumbers and roofers, local service ads work great. But also so do Google Ads if continuously optimised. Both have pros and cons. If your clients have a small budget I recommended local service ads.
