Not sure why the first one got cancelled like it did. Only thing I can think of was being a service based business out of my home, using my home address as business location got it flagged.

I'm so sorry to hear and I totally understand how devastating that might be. Google can be a cruel beast. You're going to have to wait until they let you know whether or not your listing can be reinstated. Only then you will be able to appeal the decision if you get turned down. It usually takes a few days for them to process

Being a licensed realtor I have a registered corporation, I use my home address to register corporation. Realtors must join a registered brokerage, where I joined, I have a small office in two locations, I pay a monthly desk fee. I have created google profiles in both locations. (The Name of my Corporation and Address are different from the Name and Address of my Business profile). My account was suspended at one location and I appealed, but I do not know the exact reason except Verification. The main office is owned by the brokerage, and they pay the utilities, but I use a room, I pay a monthly which includes the desk fee. I think it is possible to change the corporation's name and address to match Google my profile, or if Google allows, I can even change the google business name and address to match the corporation. Would you please tell me how I can reinstate my account from suspension, I have already filed an appeal?

For realtors, it’s recommended to use your home address for your Google Business Profile. This is because using a brokerage address often leads to challenges, as many realtors are typically registered at the same location. At best, your listing may be filtered out since Google doesn’t display multiple profiles for the same address. At worst, your profile could be flagged as a duplicate. Additionally, having your corporation registered at a different address than your Google Business Profile makes reinstatement unlikely. Based on the details you’ve provided, you should have only one Google Business Profile, and it’s best to use your home address (where your business is registered) to verify it.

My first service category was “scooter rental agency” so I added “delivery service” as the first category and then it let me remove the physical address. This is the reason why they denied my appeal: “isn’t eligible to display on Google because it violates the GBP quality guidelines.”

AN IMPORTANT CAVEAT to this great information: when he says that your Google profile business name should match the business name on your business registration _exactly,_ that does NOT include "LLC". We almost made that mistake just now, because that was the only way our business name on Google did not match perfectly with the business name on our business registration, and the individual in the video did not specify that what he said did not count for taglines like "LLC". _Google does not like "LLC" to be included in business names on their Google profiles._ Be careful of this!

Question: I went through the process of the appeal but I noticed in the first session where if it’s the incorrect gmail you should switch to another one in which I did because I have mail multiple emails so I switch to my business. So when it comes to the adding the evidence I noticed the part that’s filled out already for you it had my personal email in which again I switched to my business account and not my business email even though I switched it in the beginning. This is an apartment complex which I live in. I later learned that I do NOT put a business address but rather a service area. In my initial appeal, I had mentioned how I do business out of this address and showed a video of the apartment since it was my "office". When it comes time to appeal again, I have to provide a verifiable address. I am currently in college, and my ID doesn't match my current place of residence. My LLC documentation all has a Registered agent address. Keep in mind neither my current address at my apartment complex nor the address on my ID aligns with the Registered Agent address on my LLC filing/documentation. Which address should I be putting in my appeal? My current address (apartment) or the address on my ID and provide a picture of my ID to verify the address. If you don’t meet customers in person at your business address and instead visit them at their location, you shouldn’t display an address on your profile. According to Google’s guidelines, your service area should also be set within a two-hour radius from your location.

If it's how you represent your business in real life and you have the paperwork to justify the business name then no. Are you showing an address on your listing? This is often another reason why listings gest suspended when they are a service type of business.

Since you're asking so nicely: Even if you’re running your business from home, Google still wants you to treat it like a real business. Got a phone you use for work? Switch the bill to your business name, and it’ll count as a utility bill. Or you could do the same with your internet bill at home-it’ll work too. Also I assume you have a business licence document or business registration document, use that. Basically, even as a home-based business, you need to run things like a legit business. If you don't have anything to prove you run a business it's difficult for google to believe you do.

My account was suspended for deceptive content after I was approved, I sent them my business license as evidence. I fixed my service areas and took out my adresss and took out the (inc) in my business name after watching your helpful videos. I did all these changes while my appeal was in progress. However it's been in progress for 3 weeks. I'm stuck and don't know why it's taking so long. Any advice would help Thank you

It can take some time for google to get back to you depending on backlog. Give it another few days and hopefully it will be fixed. If not try reaching out to them here: support.google.com/business/gethelp Don't try creating another profile

Hello and Thank You, I am really stuck with my GMB. After watching your video I have figured out why I was suspended. I had submitted my lease agreement with my name only and not pictures, which I wish I would have seen your video first. My appeal was denied and now I keep going around and around. My account was suspended, so I closely followed the guidelines and your instructions. I even submitted my Business Registration Certificate as evidence. Yet my appeal was declined. Apparently my business has "Content that violates our policies on deceptive content and behavior isn't allowed. Deceptive content intentionally misleads or deceives others." I run a cleaning business. I don't even have photos linked to my profile. How on earth am I deceiving people with my content? I don't know what to do now... it won't allow me to submit another appeal. Suggestions?

hmmm. If you watched the video till the end you can see it is possible to appeal the appeal. Have you tried that? But before, it looks like there is something with your profile that still needs fixing. Not sure what it is but make sure you go through it with a with a toothcomb

If you're not eligible for an appeal it means your business doesn't meet the criteria for a listing so there isn't anything you can do about it.

⁠surely theres a way, we haven't intentionally tried to void googles policy, and were doing what we can to rectify and fix issues, what about starting new business? New name address starting a fresh

Okay, so this month we got 5 google profiles Unsuspended. 2 profiles were denied, however all proof was submitted as usual, like 10 pieces of proofs, pictures of location etc. These guys are unpredictable. How do I get in touch with them to look at it again?

You can first appeal the decision by providing additional evidence beyond what you originally submitted to increase the chances of your listing being reinstated. If the appeal is unsuccessful, submit a ticket on the Google Business Profile support forum, where a moderator may escalate your case. If all efforts fail, there may be no further action you can take.

I don't know what I did wrong to begin with!!! Decision • Business Profile disabled Business Profile doesn't exist "To keep data on Google as accurate as possible, Google uses information from different sources such as user reports and licensed content. If we determine that your business doesn't exist in the location you claim, Google will disable your profile." What does this mean? I have a catering business with a service area and not an address so how can it be that it doesn't exist in the location?

All I got was a message saying I was in violation of google community guidelines. Here in the UK we don't usually have a license or registration for all trades and all of my bills are paperless and only registered in my own name and not that of my business. It seems very irresponsible to penalize small businesses in this way especially given the current economic climate.

@@rankingacademy that is correct. As a sole trader in the UK I can just work as a painter and decorator without having to register except for tax which is in my own name. I use the name "Traditional decorator" solely as a marketing name.
