Even if you set it to 4k hdr you won't be able to see it unless you TV supports it. My 4k tv shows notification in top left corner whenever the resolution changes to 4k or HDR

Would you get a 4k tv at that price? No right? This stick is for 4k TVs, not for basic HD/FHD TVs. If people have old TVs that are not smart but are still working great then this is for them. It's also for those who have 4k monitors or have 4k smart TVs but the UI has become so slow and unresponsive that it's troublesome to navigate through it. For them too it's perfect.
