Problem is that at some point it became almost impossible for many products to find out about negative experiences since Google just filters them away or puts them at the bottom. Google makes good money from large companies to sell those products, so they promote positive results while pushing down negative ones. That's just using a product as an example, but it works the same way for everything else. Big companies pay big money to big tech to have anything positive pushed and anything negative pushed down or completely censored away. And especially these days with the inclusion of woke garbage, websites will have to adhere to Google's standards or they won't get any ad money or will get pushed away. Google uses the excuse of advertisers demanding it, those advertisers point towards government regulation and those standards being the results of their interpretation. If they don't use that interpretation, the government will go after them or cut their funding, so... they have to. Of course major corporations are the ones lobbying in the government to get these thins approved since this way they can influence everything according to their own benefit. Basically there's a huge line you can follow to see where the problem comes from. Western 'democracies' are mostly corrupted these days, I don't think anything less than some major civil wars in the US and Europe would be able to flush out most of it. Not that I would want that as a European, but I don't see things changing without a big collapse.

Agree 99% but as a side note, it's not quite right that 'almost all Roman emperors were Italian' - even just considering the united Roman Empire, a huge portion of them from the late 100s on came from across the Empire and included Punic, Gothic, Celts, Greeks, and even an Arab (arguably two). When they say 'indigenous' of course they mean 'indigenous American'... not indigenous to Rome, the US defaultist re*arded twits. Considering all 'Roman emperors', the bulk were Greek, because most were Byzantine. But plenty of them were Macedonian, Armenian, etc.
