At 8:45 in this video Chet Haase starts talking about the auto-backup feature. He states that for auto-backup to happen for an app, it has to target M. However, this is different than what the official docs state: _Automatic backups are enabled for all apps installed on devices running the Android M Preview. No additional app code is required._ Source: developer.android.com/preview/backup/index.html So, which description of the behavior is correct?

In battery improvements it has stated that the apps not in use will lose the network connection. If so how the apps like watsapp will receive the new messages?

A permanent must-watch talk every year. As a side note, I always laugh a little when they say the FAB is just a circle with a shadow. When it was introduced every app that had it (including all the Google ones) had their own FAB shadow size (there were guidelines for it but they were slightly confusing). Sometimes it's the easy things that are hard. :P

At 17:00 we hear exactly what is wrong with the Android Engineering mindset. "and then the FAB. Everybody always asked us for the FAB, and we're like 'It's just a circle with a shadow' but apparently they wanted it." Yes, genius, we want you to provide us your standard f!$&king UI buttons so that our apps look professional and also provide the user a standard interface. Yes, it's just a circle with a shadow, but I've got better things to do with my programming time than build (what should be) a standard button that tries to look exactly like your standard button but never will look exactly like your button. This is what is wrong with the Android engineering mindset. They have no idea why developers don't want to spend hours on the basic look of (what should be) standard buttons. We want to work on the code that makes our apps interesting, we don't want to work on trying to mimic UI elements that should already be available to us. Even after tons of requests for this feature, they only included it because it was so in demand, but listen to his voice.. he still doesn't even understand WHY we would want this standard UI element, even if it a simple element. He doesn't get it.

Keaton Smith But not in desktop market :p It's always most asked question every Google I/O. Google recommends there employees to use either Linux or OS X.... for security reasons :p they only use Windows when they do products for Windows. Because OS X have a lot bigger commercial software selection then Linux, you will see lot of Macs being used in Google. Also Google as being primarily internet services provider they make iOS products to ensure reachability. People generally take companies wars too seriously.
