The spot you said can be used for tripod is true but the cam comes with a cable that screws into there and you wrap it around the mount once it's mounted. This helps in case the cam falls off mount, the cable will hold it and keep it from hitting the ground. Good video

What happens when the battery dies out and doesn’t charge anymore? I heard the battery is not replaceable like a ring cam. So you have to buy a new camera then? Or will it keep working with a power plug? They don’t even sell replacement batteries for this camera. That’s strange. Almost makes it a throw away cam then.

Hmmm You can use a normal power station to power if you prefer. I'd use the solar panel and the motion detection.

What you fail to explain to your viewers is that you don't get to have 24/7 recording when you're using that solar panel. You only record clips. So pointless. People get it hooked to a power outlet if you want 24/7 recording. I had to get rid of all of these solar panels being price and install price. A total of 13 units. Pretty pissed
