I like it better than Pixel 7 which I got for dirt cheap after trading in old Pixel 5 over Black Friday from Google. Regretted the large phone and difficulty using it one-handed. So I actually gave away that P7 to loved one & bought a replacement P5 for myself from Swappa. Really still the best Android experience as it's newer big brothers but at the easiest use size form factor. I hope Google does bring back a smaller phone in the next generation.

Pixel 5 is my favorite phone ever. I've had galaxy phones, note phones and the pixel 6. This phone is so comfortable to use vs the pixel 6 it's crazy. Pixel 5 is the best kept secret in phone tech today.

Bruh, your story is exactly like mine! I had a P6P back in February, and returned it in less than 2 weeks. I really wanted to love that phone, but it was too useless with all the bugs!!!!!!!! I just bought and received a Pixel 5 (and P4) since I wanted to have a Pixel again. I haven’t had a P5 or P4, and after having them in hand…I now wonder…why didn’t I pick these up when they came out!!!!!!!! I’m definitely keeping my (2nd) SIM in the P5, this phone is f******g awesome man!! This is EASILY an EDC, more fun than my iPhone! Good video my guy!! Pixel 5 is amazing and almost perfect, and for the price can't beat it. However there were two cons I had, when recording 4k video it will shut off recording due to overheating. Second issue is the earpiece being under the screen sounds muffled and lower than other phones. Other than that is a banger and had it since launch, sold it last week.

I agree with you. Great phone with a great operating system. Just make sure not to drop it. I had mine in a Google original cover and dropped it from the high of my hip on the floor, not very hard laminated wood floor, and the screen broke. It has a white vertical strip across the right end of the screen. The replacement of the screen is more then $300 in Canada. I now have an iPhone 13 pro max and I still miss many features of my pixel 5, especially the Google assistant.

@@Cenot4ph I already have my pixel with a rubber case from otterbox and a extreme glass screen protector (those that supports "anything") but well my issue is that the camera looks with a little noise even when i try to take pictures in the day, but doesn't happen always. it's normal? Also i want to know your fav features cuz I'm wanting to switch to iphone after that camera disappoint (even lagging or looking worst in social media apps like WhatsApp) The feature that got me it's that you can copy even the uncopy text, just pulling the little white bar up and it says "select" or "take a SS" That help me a lot when i put a comment on IG and i want to edit it without deleting and texting it again, i just copy, fix words and send it back... Does iphone has that?

Bought the 5a about 2 weeks ago. Coming from a nexus 5 on its last leg. Specifically because its the closest replica with the headphone jack, and fingerprint sensor. I know the Pixel lineup has always been consistently good in most every aspect and the Pixel 3a and Pixel 5 are terrific devices - that being said, I got the (standard) Pixel 6 back in Nov. 2021 and to this day, 6-plus months later, I haven't had a single issue, not even the fingerprint sensor! The 90hz display is gorgeous, the size (6.4) is just big enough to enjoy visual contents but not so big that it's cumbersome to hold and operate. The cameras are sensational and even the 4k video is the best of any previous Pixel phone! As a moderate to semi-heavy user, I'm getting 7 hrs p/day on average. Most important, Google promises 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates! Unfortunately no previous Pixel phones will give that! The only feasible reason to purchase an older Pixel 5 would be the size - Pixel tradionalists usually prefer the slightly smaller size! The tensor chip is amazing and the Pixel 6 is an awesome device, a flagship- type phone at a midrange price!

I agree. 100% wholeheartedly with every thing you've said. Matter of fact, I found myself upset when they change the screen size from 6.4 to 6.3. I'm hoping they switch that back on the 8 understanding traditional pixel customers love smaller sizes. I'm hoping for three standard pixels with the 8 maybe will get an Ultra we've all been waiting for? If so I'd hope the Size would be 6.2 & 6.4 + 6.7 I also think it would be nice if the changed the 8A to a 5.9 or keep the 6.1

When my Pixel 5a died, I switched to an iPhone 13 mini, because I wanted a smaller phone and wanted to try iOS again. I tried for a month, but I’m very disappointed with this thing. My (much cheaper) 5a was better in every way that actually matters. The only good thing about the iPhone is the FaceID; it works really well but to be honest, the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the 5a was perfectly fine. I’m going to sell this iPhone 13 mini and use the money to get a Pixel 5 (or another 5a). Apple may dominate tablets but Android just does the “phone” thing better.

Weird, I switched to the 13 mini and I find it better in every way to the pixel 5. And the pixel 5 imo is the best android on the market. The 13 mini is so much faster and has a slightly better camera. MagSafe is awesome and the phone is still big. New phones are tablets. Pixels have so many bugs. iPhones are smooth and always work well. Also software support is twice as long.

I've just bought one of these brand new, it's a shame they don't do more phones on this format or even just keep manufacturing the Pixel 5. I am a small person, with small hands and I don't want a giant phone in my hands. I don't look at social feeds, shorts, etc where the big screen comes handy, I just want a compact phone that gives me a smooth experience without the need of having big screen, expensive cameras, etc. I only found 4 phones with this form factor. Iphone SE, Iphone 13 mini, Asus Zen phone 9 (all of which are quite expensive) and the Pixel 5. One would think they are not in high demand, but looking for them on the Internet I've seem a lot of people buying them for 300+ second hand. I bought it 400 opened boxed but new which is not so common...

Man, I have to agree with every single word you said about this amazing device. Had to switch from my Iphone 14 for financial reasons and bought preused pixel 5 for 160 USD in a great condition. The only downgrade are speakers and video recording. The rest is above the head. I bought a pixel 5 around when it came out loved it and sold it for a profit. Then used a few other phones including a Pixel 6. I was frustrated by the size, and how buggy it was. I sold it and decided to buy a 5 again and realized how much I loved it and missed it. Hopefully they release a smaller version of the 7. If not I am sure the 5 will still be doing well. The Pixel watch hopefully will be good but with their track record with devices being released and overwhelmingly buggy at first I am skeptical, but still optimistic after it has had some time to squash bugs or wait for the second generation of it.

Found my 7t on Swappa 150 with case and screen protectors and a 6t dash charger. He must have decided to keep the warp. Hahahahahah. Dude. These older 855 and plus chips are extremely good. I've heard nothing but good things about the 5 and 4a5g. So, they are on my radar. Hahah. I don't care about what people see me using. I care about what works. My 4xl has face unlock issue and camera freezes on occasion and reboots and the vibration engine with everything turned off buzzes lightly a bit until I reboot. I have no idea why. But man I still love it. So I got the 7t as a backup until I get another pixel. Hahah. Smart man!!!!! So smart!!! Get what works.
