People these days are always about high specs, better camera, better processor and so much ram when all of that literally doesn’t actually matter. I’m liking how the pixel is now keeping it simple allowing you to have a good experience without having to go all out on the specs and be top of the line on everything. People don’t need that, what they need is a good experience and that’s what the pixel provides.

I'm genuinely considering going from an s20 plus to the pixel 5 despite the s20 having better specs. A few of my friends have pixel phones and they love them

Many people care more about the phone spec than the actual user experience, which is unfortunate. Google has optimized the Pixel software so well that you don't ever feel the need to get a faster phone.

@@Josh-oc7ib No, they would not spend a thousand bucks if there are options cheaper than the Pixel 5 with better performance.. All I'm saying is, different region demands different aspect. Just because the pixel 5 is compelling in the west doesn't mean it is in other regions. Like I have just said, people in Asia tend to value the gaming performance as mobile gaming is popular here.

I hoping some day that one reviewer on youtube will focus on comparing a number of Android phones at the same time on a given task. Example having enjoyed the ability to have a one button screen shot on my Pixel3 until recently removed due to the last November upgrade... I realise that my next phone purchase will very much be interested in that feature being available and so hopefully a review will be done showing which android phone has the best one button screen shot!!

Only reason why I'm gonna exchange this 4a 5G for the 5 is the water and dust resistance. This pick 4a 5G isn't rated which worries me when I want to use my phone for music in the shower or when it rains. All in all the pixel is a great welcomed edition to an iphone user of many years. The bizarre lack of foresight and vision for Pixel phones makes for year-on year changes back and forth between fingerprint and face recognition, radar gesture recognition or lack thereof, a flagship processor and a mid-range processor, a glass back or an aluminium back, a telephoto camera or a wide angle camera, a big battery or a small battery, headphone jack or no headphone jack, notches, chins, foreheads and curved edges. In short, whatever you love about your current Pixel, you can be sure it will be gone next year.

Google has made a phone that i can recommend to almost everyone, with almost no reservations. Funny u said that, cause your video reviews are videos i can recommend to almost everyone, with almost no reservations.

I always tell people to watch his stuff as well. I bought my LG G6 after seeing his review, and it's my longest used phone now. Trying to upgrade to a 4a but the availability is iffy.

Its only a review, when it’s a “Mr Mobile” review. Still torn between this and the new 🍏 ‘12!

Do you want a charger in the box?

The old “walled-garden” anology could be used here. I’m equally tied into google software with Remote Desktop and drive. So it’s simply a hardware choice.

@@Walktoasixpack I can understand I used to be a mac guy, my old phone was a iphone se but I inevitably switched for one reason or another, and I am glad I did. However if I were to get back in to ios I could not get over the lack of a charger in the new iphone 12. I would probably buy a older iphone like the 11 pro max or the 11, instead of the 12.

do you care about the near stock android experience or do you want to buy into apples eco system? For me it'd be the pixel as I can't stand iOS. But a lot of people like airpods and just want an iPhone.

Many tech youtubers have catch phrases to start or to end the video, and I usually don't care to hear them. But for some reason, your "stay mobile" and the way you say it, feels like it's a sincere wish for your viewers' wellness, and does effectively keep me watching until I hear it! Thank you, Michael, for the sincere vibe of your productions.
