I have all the issues you mentioned and later on found out it is the magsafe that f it up. Try use without a magnet at the back or try a weaker magnetic magsafe ring. I had issues with pitaka (ring) + thinborne case

I've had an open since release, there are definitely some things I liked about it. But dude the software is just so buggy I ended up getting the P9PF after my year with the OPO. ​@@carlostiradocota

Man, it truly feels like we are almost the same person haha I too have both the Z fold 6 and now just got my Pixel 9 Pro Fold and I had the exact same glitches with my Fold as well as the problems with UI features missing compared to the Z fold 6. I missed having a separate setup for my inner display vs the outer and having folders within my app drawer to keep things organized... BUT the weaker battery life, smaller outer display, lack of good haptics, and weaker cameras on the Z fold 6 have kept me using the Pixel Fold and honestly loving it. It has it's quirks and glitches, but I hope with updates they will be ironed out and this will be the BEST foldable money can buy. The haptics, performance, inner display, and cameras alone are worth the buy in my opinion!

Competition is always good for customers. As an lifetime Apple user & current iPhone 16 Pro Max owner, I am never gonna leave the Apple ecosystem. But competition is always good for ALL customers. Having said that, I think Apple hasn’t come out with a foldable device yet because the technology just isn’t there yet. Screen creases & hinge issues continue to plague foldables. I am sure Apple will come out with a foldable iPhone eventually. But even when they do, I prefer the current iPhone design. Yes, it may have plateaued, but it’s evolved into the perfect shape over the last 20 years. When I want a larger screen, I use my iPad mini or iPad Pro. They complement the iPhone nicely. If Apple comes out with a foldable iPhone, I think i will stick to the current design & iPad combo anyway.

I have a friend who has a z fold. The issue with ANY android other than direct from Google is bloatware. I've never had any issues with this phone. And any issues that do arise will get fixed the fastest over any Samsung.

Samsung is known for having their own versions of most Google apps which can be considered bloatware, but I am willing to swallow that for their amazing set of built-in tools and features. The pixel form factor but Samsung UI would be optimal for me.

This is a refreshing review to watch. Coming from an S24, I also am used to the side buttons being reversed... on/off at the bottom. The fingerprint and facial recog. is MUCH faster and more dependable than on my S24. See more in another post....

I was so glad to hear you say something I've been kind of screaming in frustration about, while watching other reviewers take jabs at the 9 Pro Fold's asymmetrical bezels...the design Google chose here perfectly caters to an otherwise frustrating issue of flimsy Foldable Phone cases, because of how thin the bezels from other manufacturers have been.

I tried samsung s22 and OneUI. After using the Pixel 7 Pro it felt like going back 10 years. The attention to detail like haptics and animations in vanilla android is leaps and bounds better. I bought the 9 pro fold and am extremely happy with it

One of the biggest weaknesses of this phone is the lack of a stylus pen. Being able to use it like a tablet is great, but way better with a pen. Even if it wasn’t included, as long as it wasn’t overpriced as the Apple Pencil would be great.

@ I use the iPad with Apple Pencil for marking PDFs, filling forms, signing, drawing, editing photos and I do a lot of handwriting with it. To me, a tablet (or foldable phone) without a stylus is worthless.

Mine is 4 days old and I'm getting a blank screen at times. Did I try to start it between cycles? Also BT SUX out of the box, a common complaint, range/stability are awful. I seem to have updated something to improve BT, but I don't know which did the trick. Other than that hick-up, I love it. Google should look over Sammy's shoulder and learn a few things. My S24 is the NUTS!!!

I feel like OnePlus made a foldable without the hardware compromises that google made. Pixel 9 "pro" fold takes a photo at f2.2 iso188 it looks like it's coated with glitter. One+ has more storage for the $, larger camera sensors, faster charging, better multitasking options. Bought the pixel cuz 7yrs of updates sounds better but it's going back. The camera bump is as thick as the phone itself, imagine the phone it could've been if they just made the phone that thick and not skimped on hardware.

I loved the video. I keep debating about picking up 9 Pro Fold through my carrier but I think I would get a little annoyed with the lack of customization compared to OneUI. I know my daughter did when i tried to give her Pixel 8. She hated it. Back to S23 FE. I will probably just stick with my S24U.

Many of the issues you're having software-wise are happening because you are migrating all of your data from one Android device to another.. simply set up the device as new and then transfer your photos but do not transfer all your data from the apps or you will introduce a bunch of bugs and hiccups. Setting up the majority of apps nowadays is simply logging in with your credentials which is no big deal.. migrating the data and Cache of android apps from one android device to another is unnecessary and asking for problems.

I understand how this might resolve the glitches, but the rest of my observations are not bug related. Believe it or not I almost always try to do clean installs when migrating phones. The Pixel was an exception 😊
