So far I have enjoyed the fit. Much better than the original pros, at least for small ears. The treble is a lot better also on the newer pro 2 , although the sub bass is much deeper on the original pros. The find my device feature is much better as well. So far so good, but the original pros are still fantastic for their time.

I did the exact same thing. The Pro 2 version is noticeably louder than the previous generation. The sound quality seems a little better too, as does the noise cancellation. So far so good.

Yeah I just got mine yesterday. A very noticeable upgrade on the original Gen 1 Pixel Buds Pro. Size, fit, sound quality and ANC are all very/extremely good. Also the case is improved with the built in speaker and improved battery. Also noticed the connection speed is much more reliable and snappier to connect to my devices. (It also gives a you a slightly newer jingle/tone to let you know when you're connected and when you've disconnected) But the one thing I've noticed there's quite a problem with the mic sound quality. It sounds like you are very tinny and echoey and your voice doesn't have the same body in comparison even the Pixel Buds Pro Gen 1. This is quite disappointing and I hope they can fixed this via a software update as I'm sure the new Tensor A1 SOC needs to be tuned better to handle voice pickup that has been blocked out from any ambient sound. All of the pixel buds I've ever owned A- series and Pixel Buds Gen 1 were always great for mic quality. But at the moment on the current software (release 2.117) there definitely is a needed improvement for the mic quality.

I did the exact same thing as I got store credit from my 9 Pro purchase. I also got $30 of extra store credit since I purchased the Buds during the Google Birthday celebration, which I might put towards that new 45W fast charging brick... finally ready to retire the brick that came with my 4 XL I think. The Buds Pro Gen 1 have been a pretty good experience thus far, being the first ANC-equipped earbuds I have ever owned and a huge improvement over the 2020 Pixel Buds and A-Series, both of which I have owned. They provided a great listening experience from my time with them and the fit actually worked out well for my ears, was able to cover long distance runs without them falling out of my ears ever. I have noticed the battery life tanking on them though, probably because they saw heavy use while I was working a remote job, and they also had some odd connectivity issues; these have gotten better since I got my 9 Pro, which leads me to believe it was an issue with the 6 Pro and not the buds themselves.

I bought them. They are far more comfortable and for a marathon (all day) earbuds I haven't minded having them in my ear like the originals. The original pros would always cause some ear fatigue after the 3rd or 4th hour.

My buds pro 2 arrive today and I still my my buds pro. I love them original. My only gripes with the original was sometimes the buds don’t want to stay in place; and I had to get them replaced once because they kept making this high pitched chirp in my ears after about 4 months use.

There is a major feature that was just removed from the pixel buds pro. Touch and hold to hear notifications without using a voice command was removed. If these buds do not have that, I am sending them back. Because that feature was my most important feature. I used it to make sure I could check on the time and to hear my notifications when I was in noisier surroundings without having to use my voice. It is absolutely ridiculous that they would remove that feature. I hope it's on the pixel Buds 2 or like I said I'm returning it.

@@21backwards78 vintage Google. Don't do what we ask but then take away the thing that we liked that made perfect sense to have. Well. I guess I'll be sending these back once I receive them. I'll play with them for a few days first. And then send them back. What's even sadder is that I have the Jabra elite 10 earbuds which are connected to the assistant and they have the touch and hold to receive notifications featured. So do the Sony wh1000xm5 headphones. But yet Google is going to remove that feature from their own Google buds. Absolutely ridiculous!

I loved the pixel buds pro but they could not stay in my ear. I switched to the Bose QC Ultra’s which have a wing design as well and they fit great. I’m really considering upgrading to the buds pro 2 now as these should fit really well

Well they have clear calling so they shouldn't be that bad, yeah in the latest video it did not sound so good but he never said it was horrible... If the mic are that good for transparency mode they should be good for calling so as others mention an update should fix the issue or they do not worth the price. When you can get the Anker soundcore Liberty 4 for only $80 at bestbuy which i did try and the transparency mode and the calls are pretty awesome but music sound quality is not that good but still $200 less

I upgraded from my 4 year old original pixel buds as I just got the Pixel 9 and wanted an upgrade for the earbuds. So from those it was a huge change! First earbuds I've had with ANC and I love it. I love being able to switch seamlessly between ANC and passthrough. The passthrough is amazing. I can almost forget I'm wearing them.

They are indeed about $50-$70 over priced. They are in the same price range as much better buds they are better in everyway apart from size. Size is the only thing these have over other premium buds.

Why is nobody actually showing the find my device in action? The original buds didn't connect to the case unless the lid was open, did that change? Can it be located when closed? Why are none of the reviewers addressing how it actually works... 🤷🏼‍♂️

I got the Buds Pro 2 and when you try to locate the buds there will be sound playing from the case as there is now a speaker. This is with the case closed and buds inside.

Just got the new buds. They are great, I think they are more comfortable than the gen 1's, sound fuller and clearer, have better sound canceling, have the best transpaarency mode, are much lighter and I can wear them longer.

I got my first gen Buds Pro when it launched and had a $20 discount code from Google so got it for $179 and I felt okay with that discounted price, I was hesitant Google would make a pair of earbuds that can justify a higher price. After using the first gen Buds Pro for nearly 2 years, battery life has began to suffer greatly, primarily the left bud which is what I use by itself the most. The first Buds Pro were my first semi-high end TWS earbuds I bought so I didn't have much else to compare them too but in the last several months I've bought a number of others from other brands that cost less then the first Buds Pro and it was a bit of an eye opener how much better they sound or how much worse the Buds Pro sounded in comparison. One of the other pair of TWS earbuds I bought are from LG and at their current $149 sale price, I feel like overall they are much better than my first Buds Pro. Obviously I don't have the Buds Pro 2 to compare them to but I just don't think the $229 asking price is worth it when the competition is only getting stiffer. I would consider the new Bose Quiet Comfort's that were just released for $179 before these Buds Pro 2.

I just got a pair of pixel buds pro after years of using Jabra 75t-85ts. I find them ok, there were things I liked about the jabras better (physical button instead of touch - too easy to accidentally skip a track or something if I am just trying to pause something) and things I like about the buds better (slightly better fit, and when I use the touch correctly the swipe volume up and down is really nice, to adjust volume on the Jabras both had to be in and had to use button pushes on different ears for up and down). But overall I like them. It appears that some of the things you mentioned are avialable in the buds pro already, the integration with gemini, the find my device functionality, I have that currently with the buds pro. Given that I just got these, it'll be a while before I look to upgrade.

Has the tip of the driver shape changed? Want to know if my comply tips from my Pros or As will fit. Dis the diameter or the shape change? Comply says theyre still testing and haven't dropped one, or recommend. I used my store credit to get some for my other sets, they were the best thing to happen to them. Wont buy a set until i know i can fit my high quality memory fam tips on. Needs to fit the spout perfectly. Comply worked and lasted far longer than the crap generics. Put in properly it made ANC much better kept debris clear of driver with diffuser foam and locked them into my ear comfortably. Just roll in the fingers, push in and they weren't going anywhere. Perfect seal.

Fit is great. Sound is awful unless you keep it below half volume. Very little bass, and distorts at higher volume. I'm a rocker and enjoy my music loud. Have some older Jabra 75t and 85t which blow the Bud pro2's sound away. Glad I got the pro 2's free because I'd be pissed spending anything on them.

Check if you have volume EQ enabled in EQ settings in the bottom, it'll adapt and change the EQ depending on volume to keep the quality somewhat consistent. It's stupid that they have (had) this off by default

my ears are a weird shape and while I LOVE my old pixel buds pro, they NEVER fit in my ears right. The pixel buds pro 2 while they are more expensive they almost immediately felt way way better, this fit in my ears, twisted and locked in, and they stayed, while my bud pros (original) fell out during similar situations.

They aren't reading notifications for a ton of people, even myself. Not talking about the touch to hold, just the general notification reading. They also don't have independent notification volume. If your phone is on vibrate, then your earbuds are silent as well. Google is aware of these problems, and they don't care. Do not buy these.

No they are terrible, the case is a pain when trying to reset, snaps shut when connected stopping the reset. The right bud if you're able to get it to connect it will constantly disconnect, the fit is terrible even when swapping the tips. The sound is awful no bass, the mids are flat and the highs are tinny. The touch gesture is clunky, try and turn up the volume and it will pause, transparency mode does nothing. If you manage to get the right bud to stay connected, as soon as you try and use the gesture controls it cuts out and stops working

Without better Bluetooth codecs such as apt x or ldac, i just can't justify upgrading over the first generation. I mean now we have earbuds that are way cheaper but capable of far superior bit rates. Seems too little, too late. Will probably grab something from Nothing instead.

I am nowhere near an audiophile and think that my Pixel Buds Pro sound great. My Pixel Buds 2 arrive tomorrow and if they sound just as good as my Pro's and more importantly, stay in my ears consistently I am going to be a happy camper! I just picked up my Pixel Buds Pro 2 yesterday and tried them this morning. They're okay, but not as comfortable as my Airpods Pro 2, which also have better ANC. I'll give the Pixel Buds a few more days, but I'll probably return them. I would love to see a comparision between the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and the Galaxy Buds Pro 3.

I was using the iPhone 15 pro and switched over to the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Airpods Pro 2 work well but I haven't been able to turn off the find my/tracking on them so they alert me every couple of hours with chime to let me know they are tracking me. LOL. Also I haven't found away to now the battery percentage of the Airpods. All of that being said... I am hope to get a comparable set of earbuds that work work well with android :)

The sound is good, they are very light weight and would be very nice, but I can't workout with them, they fall out of my ears when laying on the bench or bending over to pick up the weights.
