Hi Robyn, I also got a googol flute from Blue Bear Flutes. Yes, it took a while to receive it after I ordered it. It is in the key of G and looks exactly like your flute. Charlie is a wonderful person and works to help his customers and other flute enthusiasts. Wayne, I'm sorry you have been going through a sad time. I hope your sadness lifts soon. So glad you found this video, as the flutes have been bringing me through a deep time of loss and also recovery from strokes. Try if you can to just pick up a flute and hold it in your hands. Perhaps you might want to play just one note. Just start with one note... then see if anything from deep inside you wants to speak through the flute after that. Let the flute help you. I have a flute exactly like your fathers, along with the blue bead!! I bought it probably 30 yrs ago. It has to be a High Spirits flute by Odel Borg. They are still in business. Maybe you can ask about having them repair it.

Amazing. Thank you. I was wondering if you could maybe go get some leather strapping and wrap it around the bottom of your dads flute after wiping a bit of wood glue into the crack. Might preserve it. Just an idea

@RobynBellospirito What a great remembrance. As a couple of people have said, your father’s flute is an early, mid to late 1990s, High Spirits flute made by Odel Borg. As said, it can be repaired and would certainly be worth it for you to be able to play your father’s flute again. I have one of these early Odel Borg flutes and it is one of my favorites. It is a shame High Spirits doesn’t still sell a version of these. Happy fluting.

Almost certainly an older model from Odell Borg's "High Spirit Flutes" . By all means have that one repaired, or do it yourself ( you can do it ) . Good luck.
